Stopped for lunch here in Saty . The accommodation did however looked very basic but clean and functional with shower and toilet rooms for guests. Lunch was also basic and traditional but very tasty with beautiful hot fresh bread and as always in Kazakhstan, pots of fresh hot tea. Kazakhstan style dumplings filled with meat were delicious and very filling. Family run with everyone serving and helping. Nice outside dining pergolas with great views of mountains. Saty is basically one road with lots of family run guest houses off the main road for visitors to the area. Some also have Yurts on their property. Nice basic stop over spot for a trip to the beautiful mountains and lakes in this part...

We agreed on the price of 30k Tenge for 2 people including breakfast. I made sure to ask again if it was for two people with breakfast. The young lady who spoke English said yes. The next morning when we checked out she wanted 4k extra for the breakfast.

This is so rude and absolutely not fair asking your guests to pay more even though we agreed on the price. We had another offer for less money but we came back to this one cause she had reserved the room for us the whole day and we wanted to be fair cause we already told here we would come!

Several times this summer 2019 we stayed in Zhanara-Dinara guest houses. Everything was very good. Homemade food, friendly owners, everything is clean, toilet and shower in the house, sauna. In the evening it was nice to sit near campfire. They have also installed national urt for guests to look and also to stay overnight. The area in Sati villiage is also very beautiful and worth to explore a little bit. Certainly will recommend this guesthouse and...
