From the moment we arrived at Ocean Beach Resort and Spa, I knew we were in for a treat. If I could, I would pack up the entire experience and make this my permanent happy place! The rooms, oh my! Simply breathtaking! Spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could need for a blissful stay. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I could easily see myself living there!
The culinary delights blew us away. Each meal was an experience, with a diverse menu that tantalized our taste buds. The chef is a dancer too! He just turned 50 on the new years's eve and what a celebration!
And let’s talk about those walks on the beach—nothing quite compares to the serenity of strolling along the shore while soaking in the stunning sunrises and sunsets that are simply "made in Ocean Beach Resort and Spa." Those moments made our hearts feel full.
The spa was a sanctuary of relaxation—I can only describe it as a moment to die for. The treatments we received left us rejuvenated and blissfully at ease, making it a highlight of our stay. And I can’t forget about the bar! “Sinataabu” I call it- may be they will consider renaming it, became our go-to spot. Mzungu, the main bartender, is a legend! His creativity and warmth enhanced every afternoon spent there. It was not just a place to unwind but an experience in itself, filled with laughter and great conversations.
The countdown to the New Year at Ocean Beach Resort and Spa was nothing short of spectacular! The ambiance was electric, filled with excitement as guests gathered for the much-anticipated white and black beach dinner. It was a beautiful setup, with elegantly adorned tables and the sound of waves crashing in the background, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.
As the night unfolded, we were treated to a vibrant New Year's party that truly brought everyone together. The energy in the air was palpable as we indulged in delicious food, laughter, and the thrill of the impending countdown. The evening was alive with spectacular performances, including enchanting dances by the giriama and Maasai dancers that captivated the audience. Their grace and talent transported us into a celebration filled with cultural richness and joy.
The atmosphere reached a fever pitch as midnight approached. Fireworks lit up the sky, painting a breathtaking canvas of colors that left us in awe. The whole crowd of diners joined in the exhilaration, cheering and celebrating the arrival of the New Year. It was a moment of pure joy, encapsulated by the stunning display above us.
The live band kept the energy soaring, providing a fantastic soundtrack to our celebrations. Their music had everyone on their feet, dancing the night away! And let’s not forget the charming MC, whose wit and charisma added an extra layer of fun to the festivities, keeping us all entertained and engaged throughout the night.
This was not just any New Year's Eve—it was a vibrant celebration that could easily fill a book with stories of joy, laughter, and connection. We left feeling euphoric, grateful for the remarkable experience and the amazing people we met along the way.
Thank you, Ocean Beach Resort and Spa, for an unforgettable New Year’s celebration. Here’s to many more magical nights like this one! My family and I have just found THE place for all their holidays!
Overall, our stay at Ocean Beach Resort and Spa was nothing short of magical. This resort has a perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and incredible service. I can’t recommend it highly enough! We will leave with memories that will last a lifetime and a longing to return soon. Kweli kuingia ni harusi, kutoka ni matanga. We are already having withdrawal symptoms as we plan to leave soon.

Read moreWe spent 5 nights at Ocean Beach Resort and didn't want to leave! We had the most fantastic weather, although there were times when it was alarmingly hot, which meant we spent most of our midday time at the swimming pool relaxing on the extra-large and comfortable sun loungers under large shade umbrellas. The pool area is designed in such a way that it is easy to connect with other guests and families, which was a highlight for us. ||The hotel team deserve a very special mention: whether it was a casual lunch at the pool or the special occasion buffet dinner on New Year's Eve, there was an enormous effort made to move tables and chairs around to create different and exciting settings, all beautifully decorated. Our children just loved the huge and crystal clear pool. The pool attendants were very friendly and helpful and interacted well with all the children, providing inflatable tubes for playing on.||The food was also very nicely presented and tasty, especially the buffet dinners. Some amazing and unique decorations such as a vase of 'flowers' made out of intricately carved potatoes and food colouring caught our eye.||My husband is in a wheelchair and our room was very conveniently located a short distance from the main hotel buildings. The paths around and about are all wheelchair suitable and in fact the grounds in their entirety are pretty flat. All the main areas are very accessible. There was a step into the shower (which had grab rails); however, the hotel did provide a movable wooden ramp, but it was difficult to use it without assistance. Thankfully air-con in the rooms provided a welcome respite from the early January heat. ||The beach is expansive and quite beautiful, however it is a walk away from the hotel grounds, and there are noticeable currents pulling this way and that. We ventured out to the beach most late afternoons, which is when most others did the same. Lovely to see families, locals and tourists alike, enjoying the outdoors.||I had a massage treatment at the in-house spa which was excellent. The spa room itself felt like a sanctuary. Make time for a swim in the spa pool afterwards.||We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely choose to stay here again. A lovely, casual and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to all for the great service and the...
