Mara Big Five Camp — Hotel in Siana ward

We called Mara Big Five Camp home for 3 nights and really felt the sincerity of the staff throughout the stay. The tents were comfortable and the friendly staff were always nearby to assist us and escort us safely around the property. Meals were delicious and I always asked for seconds on the soup. Loved that they packed our lunchboxes in eco friendly containers too!

It is here that I felt most connected with the Maasai staff because they always greeted us when they saw us and would ask about our day. Even if English wasn’t available, we found a way to have authentic exchanges and laughs. They were proud to share their culture and this completely elevated my experience in Kenya.

Highly recommend Mara Big Five as a base for your next safari in Masai Mara. My mom and I stayed here for 2 nights. The staff welcomed us with pineapple juice and a traditional Masai song and dance. This happened a few times during our trip in Kenya but never with as much conviction and clear joy as in Mara Big Five. It automatically put a smile on everyone's face. The tents were comfortable and spacious (it's definitely more glamping than camping). At night you hear the wild animals around you. I"m still reeling from my amazing stay at The Mara Big 5 Camp! I took my guests for a 2 nights stay at the camp, and we had an absolutely wondeful time! The tents are so beautiful and well designed, giving them a homy and cosy feel. They were always clean, and the staff always put in hot water bottles into our beds before we went to sleep. 😊They always escorted us around the campsite to ensure we were safe, and were ever so ready to assist!
