From changing 3 rooms on check in day to almost losing my life due to electrocution that's how horrific my stay was at Bridge hotel Mombasa. ||||On check in day the first room allocated lacked WiFi connectivity with an alternative network running at speeds of 2 mbps. Close proximity to a nearby church came with a lot of noise that evening as believers were in praise. I requested for a room move which was done. ||||The second room WIFI was only better by 3 mbps 😐. 5 minutes inside the room & boom a lizard 🦎 on the wall and a cockroach crawling on the floor which I handled by myself so as not to be that complaining. Having beared all those I step in the bathroom to take a hot shower & to a terrific disappointment it ended up being a cold shower with a spike of current passing through my hand and I hit the floor. (water heater switch is on and operated properly based on the room orientation given). A life close to being lost I couldn't entertain any more of that and requested for a manager and the info I got is that he/she already left but after about 40 minutes I received a man who said was the ass. manager to attend to my concerns.||Sadly no empathy about my health like inquiring if I needed medical assistance. ||||Another room move is done to a pre-checked room by staff only for me to find the shower drain wasn't effective as the bathroom became flooded with water. I endured that for the late night (11pm) only to be a victim of a disturbed night sleep early morning due to loud music from the congregation at the church service just 5 metres away from the hotel. ||||In all the 3 rooms the water heater system is very unsafe with open and exposed wires which is a life threatening utility to the guests and even the...

When I checked in after a long bus ride, my main and only request was a quiet room (which I got) and air conditioner (which I paid for and did not receive).||||The room aircon system was faulty and ineffective. When I told the front desk that evening all they said is that it is "unfortunate." I requested a refund and they said that it was not possible.||||The same evening, I was assured that breakfast would be ready at 6.00am. I paid at 6.30am and walked into the hall only to find some bread on a table and juice. I was told that everything had to be prepared. I tried getting my Kes. 500 back but was told again no refund. I left without breakfast.||||The management of this budget hotel need a revamp. Again DO...
Read moreI booked this hotel directly by email and was unsure as to what I was getting into but it was close to where I had an early morning meeting. I was not disappointed. ||My well furnished room up a few flights of stairs was indeed comfortable and despite being in a busy part of the city, it was quiet. ||||My welcome at reception was friendly and quickly booked in after travelling for 24 hours so all I needed was a good shower and comfortable bed and I got both. Free Wi-Fi in my room was a bonus||||The breakfast was basic but adequate. Keeping it mind that this is a budget hotel and is competitively priced I think it is good value. At these prices we cannot expect five star luxury. Yes I...
