Jambo Paradise Hotel — Hotel in Tononoka ward

I usually rely on TripAdvisor reviews before booking hotels, but this time, I overlooked some red flags—and regretted it.||I checked into Jambo Paradise Hotel on a calm Saturday morning, intending to stay six nights. The first night was uneventful, but things quickly went downhill. The next morning, I needed soap and called the reception at around 8:00 AM. The lady curtly informed me I had to wait for housekeeping. After 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to walk down four floors (no escalator) to the reception.||When I explained the issue, the receptionist made a phone call, and I could hear someone laughing on the other end. Frustrated, I left, bought soap myself, and took a shower. By then, I had made up my mind to check out early.||The staff's attitude showed a complete lack of care for their clients. The rooms are clean. The bathroom and toilet area very big and well designed. The showerhead good cos it releases a lot for a good bath in hot place like mombasa. The architectural designs for hotel and rooms very good. The food good, but for persons not requiring too much portions of food not okay because you can't request for one chapati or less than a quarter kg of meat. There need also to pay attention on the cleaning of the bathroom walls, there is need to scrap the bathroom walls and the floor with vim and stotch brite and aevery Friday to maintain high standards of cleaningness.
