Mama Africa B&B — Hotel in Watamu ward

In my humble opinion Watamu is the place to be in Kenya and Mama Africa is the place to be in Watamu. Mama's location is perfect, with direct access to a wonderful private beach. The staff is very friendly and efficient, they arranged our transfer to and from the airport and were very helpful during our stay. We also booked our safari with Mama Africa and the experience was excellent. This is an Italian-run business so, as you may expect, food is great. Mama Africa is not quite on the beach if that is what you are looking for, but it is made up of two gorgeous villas, each with its own pool. Easy walk to the beach and to motorcycle taxis right outside. Daniele and Michele were one of a kind in helping us arrange whatever we wanted and yet not being pushy! This place is a must visit. I've been traveling quite a bit around Kenya and I can highly recommend this place. Very relaxed, easy going atmosphere with lovely hosts always at your service.
