Hotel "Tri Korony" — Hotel in Cholpon-Ata

We checked in today and we are one of only two couples staying at this hotel. We asked (through our guide, who is Kyrgyz) for the best available room, since the hotel is essentially vacant. At first they showed us to a room in the first building (which was the closest to the office and the most convenient for them). However, that room had truly poor views. So we asked to stay in one of the other buildings closer to the Issyk Kul Lake. They said they could not move us because we booked a double room and the other buildings had only rooms with twin beds. We said we were OK with twin beds and yet they still didn't want to move us. After several requests, they finally agreed to move us to the next building. Guess what? It has double beds. They lied to us. ||||Yet the views were still poor, so we asked to move to the next building, closer to the lake and hopefully with a better view. They told us that they could not, that there were no rooms available in that building, that it is already fully booked. Yet we went to dinner tonight and there is only one other couple staying here and their room is in the second building (same as ours). So another lie. We are only here for one night, so it couldn't have been a conflict with a group arriving later in the week. ||||They have no elevators and I had to carry our luggage (two large suitcases) up three flights of stairs. Upon the last half flight of stairs, the hotel person offered to carry one of the suitcases, ostensibly to get a tip. No thanks.||||We were lied to by two different people at the hotel, so apparently this is a systemic problem with the management of the hotel.||||Look at the attached pic. That is the view from our room. Parking lot and next door construction zone. And it was an even worse view in the other building.||||Do not stay here. So lets go,||||Pros:||- clean rooms, cleaning every 3 days, but if you ask can be done every day||- Wi-Fi was OK, easyly accessible in the whole area, even on the beach||- food was fine, you could always choose from two dishes, of course, you have to realize that you are in Kirgizstan, so national-style dishes are mostly served||- it has its own beach, which was clean, there is also a pier, where you can walk or jump into the water||||Cons:||- our TV didn't work and when I told them at the reception the answer was "the are only kirgiz/russian programs anyway" - this was very unprofessional, I could watch at least sports or music programs, as we had one rainy day||- the disco/karaoke bar was almost always empty, if you are looking for something more partying, you have to go outside the resort||- on the pictures on the website there is a volleyball pitch or saunas on the pier, none of this did work unfortunately||- also the sauna, which is available costs 1500 SOM/hour, but you have to book it for minimum 2 hours... when you are alone or just two, its enormously expensive to use the sauna then ||||Besides that I really appreciate that as we were the only non-russian/kirgiz speaking guests, they tried to be accommodating, always sending a waiter, who was talking english to us.||All in all, it is a nice family orientated resort, if you want to have more party-like holiday, you should rather try different one (Raduga?), but I didn't regret I was there. Ужасный отель, совершенно не подойдёт тем, кто рассчитывает на комфортный отдых в отеле хорошего класса, а не в старом совковом санатории. Кроме природы вокруг не понравилось ничего. Класс отеля и уровень обслуживания стоимости совершенно не соответствуют. Уже на подъезде к воротам отеля крутилась мысль: «Только бы не сюда». На въезде вместо приятного reception вас встретит максимально неприветливый персонал в старой будочке с надписью «Регистратура». Чувства, что вас рады видеть в этом месте, уж точно не возникнет. Визуал на всей территории и внутри самих номеров неприятный, на всём очень сильный налёт совка, ржавые бирюзовые крыши, безвкусные жёлто-синие навесы, вместо аккуратных пляжных баров старые холодильники «Инмарко» с мороженым, лежаки – страшные доски на ржавых прутьях, пирс такой, что даже фотографироваться на нём стыдно, про облезлые крашенные доски, по которым не то что противно, но даже опасно ходить босяком, вообще молчу. В номерах ниже класса люкс отсутствует какой-либо шкаф, где вы могли бы разложить свои вещи, также не стоит рассчитывать на махровый халат и набор из свежих полотенец. Вам предоставлено 3 полотенца, одно из которых пляжное (по размеру подходит разве что для головы, сразу же возникло желание купить полотенце побольше, кто же знал, что нужно как в старые добрые брать на отдых полотенце с собой), а также не стоит ждать регулярной уборки раз в день и замены полотенец, так как это делается только по вашему специальному заказу. В номере также отсутствует какой-либо сейф и фен для волос (ну куда уж там).|Вместо привычного туристу, отдыхающему в хороших отелях, ресторана есть СТОЛОВАЯ – и это место полностью соответствует названию. Моя первая ассоциация при взгляде на это место – Дом Культуры в любом из провинциальных городков нашей страны. |От выходивших навстречу туристов первым делом услышали фразу: «Ужасный ужин». Это оказалось правдой, в самом отеле на гастротур можно не рассчитывать – пресное тесто с картошкой, порубленной мелкими кубиками, и небольшим намёком на мясо, два пыльных зелёных персика, растворимый кофе, чисто символические конфета и печенье, которые также явно лежали там неприлично долго. Такой роскоши, как сервировочный нож, можете не ждать (на второй день, правда, один нож на двоих уже положили. Вероятно, осознали, что такое жёсткое мясо всё-таки нужно чем-то резать). При местном изобилии и ценах на фрукты, один кусочек арбуза положили на двоих:) Обед порадовал сырой картошкой и старой коровой (той самой, для которой всё-таки положили нож).
