Zaton Guesthouse — Hotel in Cholpon-Ata

Zaton Guesthouse is very quiet, on the very edge of Cholpon-Ata. Parking was possible near the guesthouse. Next to Zaton is the entrance to a beautiful park near the lake. The main street with shops/restaurants is about a 15 minute walk away. We had a room (nr. 4) with a balcony (with bench). Neat clean room, twin beds, airco, with separate bathroom. Good Wi-Fi. Some English was spoken by a younger person. The breakfast, which was well taken care of - very tasty was a large filled wrap - took place in a nice separate building in the garden. In the area and at the guesthouse itself (it was mid-June still early season) quite a lot was being built and renovated, which made it noisy during the day. But, it was quiet at night and...

This family run guesthouse is really good! Despite the initial difficulty in finding the place (no signs whatsoever), the rest of our stay was nice. The view of autumn leaves from our balcony was very beautiful. While it was fun talking with the parents (with limited English), their son was very helpful with translations of everything. They even gave us some contacts for our onwards trips. The plentiful breakfast is included and most of the food were prepared right as we sat down. There is parking available outside the guesthouse. Dima is a great host with really extraordinary guesthouse close to the beach. We spent 2 nihgts on his place during our backpacking trip in Kyrgyzstan and I can honestly say we were absolutely satisfied. Rooms are new, modern with a national kyrgyz decorations, well equipped and super clean. Washing maschine is available, as well as very tasty beeakfast prepared by the host personally. I can reccomend this place to everyone - it will contribute to the quality of your trip for very accaptable price :)...
