The hotel complex is stunning, perched on a hill giving you panoramic views of Luang Prabang. The staff here are all excellent! Everyone (reception, drivers/bellboys, restaurant etc) is always eager to help & always greeting you with a smile on their face. ||The breakfast is also one of the best, good quality while also providing variety on a daily basis. Everyone here also made sure to clean the dishes in a timely manner. The hotel is not in town & there’s not much within walking distance. However, the hotel provides a free shuttle into town every hour & also a pick-up every hour fifteen (2.15, 3.15, 4.15 etc). This was super useful & reliable. You only have to reserve this ~30 mins prior to departure. ||There are a few down points though. I booked a Standard Room & I believe these rooms are in a separate “complex” away from the reception. So, from your room, you have to cross the entrance / parking lot to get to main complex (where the reception, restaurant, pool etc are). Whereas, other rooms are all within the main complex. As a solo female traveller, I don’t necessarily feel safe within this separate complex. My balcony looked onto (I assume) people’s houses. ||As much as the hotel & surrounding complex are stunning, the Standard room was not very modern. The bedroom section was OK, however the bathroom needs an upgrade. There was a sewage smell that was strong & only disappeared when the aircon was turned on. Smell aside, the bathroom was just in a bad condition. Taps were leaking & spraying water everywhere when turned too high. The toilet looks very old & used. ||Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are what makes it amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I probably would return here but maybe upgrade to another room. I peeked at a few different rooms & they all look much...
Read moreI stayed here for a school conference and I did not want to leave. This is one of my favorite hotels now because of the design, hospitality and view.
The design and architecture is very well done. It has a sense of luxury, but more of comfort and welcoming. I love the lobby and the walk to the restaurant and cafe. The pool is nice (did not swim, just looked). The rooms are not that big, but they are just right in my opinion. The bed was a little hard the first night, but I grew to love it. The room has basic toiletries and umbrellas. You can request an iron and board if you need it. Room service is very fast and the food is good.
The hospitality is top-notch. Everyone on the staff made it seem like their mission to ensure I had a good stay. One gentleman in particular knew that I am vegan and made sure that I had vegan dishes. On the second day, I did not see any vegan dishes at our conference tables, so I decided to get a ride into town and eat at a restaurant. He found me and told me that he had set the food aside for me.
The location is about three km from the main part of town and the hotel provides shuttle service every hour. There is not much around the hotel and i had to walk about 1.5 km to get to the nearest store.
I cannot compare the hotel to others in the area, but it is on my list of places to bring my family...
Read moreThis hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Certainly the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left it was a fantastic experience. When we arrived we were checked in by Kampoot who was fantastic the whole week. He was always willing to stop and chat and help us with recommendations. Kampoot is a credit to this hotel. The location itself is perfect. With mountains either side and a view of the whole town. The pool is great to cool off in and the food at the pool was excellent. The pizza and pad gaprao were among our favourites. The breakfast had a great selection and the staff were all very attentive. Thongpan served us very well. The room was nice and clean and we had a good view. The only issue was the shower was a little on the hot side and when moved to cold it didn’t really have much power. But apart from this it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely come back. A big thank you also to Lovansinh also on the front desk. She was so friendly and polite. Also at the pool Boonsong and Sengdao looked after us very well all week.
The only downside was the gym which was very poor and needs...
