Rooms are okay, services are fine. Placement is great, there are 2 malls nearby, although its' somewhat far from the center.

Unfortunately, there's a massive roach problem that seems to be neglected by the staff. I had to spend money on springing up traps that were semi-effective.

Do not store your food outside of any cover. Use fridges and bread boxes and seal away everything you own. I am sorry, but with all due respect, the amount of roaches is simply ridiculous and inexcusable. It kills the mood, the wish to cook and can simply disgust you to the point of making you sick.

Foreign students in particular - exchange or otherwise - often leave a mess after they are done cooking in the kitchen (3rd floor), which turns the kitchen into a roach breeding ground. Please give them warnings or punishments of some kind, I've seen it myself multiple times and local, i.e., Latvian students can often be seen complaining about the foreigners' neglect of basic hygiene and ethical standards. There's a foreigner couple that regularly smokes and I had to tell them away a few times for smoking right next to the dorm entrance, because otherwise the smoke ends up on the upper floors and forces me to close the window for that reason (being a non-smoker myself).

The building needs a systematic purge of roaches often, if possible. Afterwards, the whole place would improve.

The rooms are fine, but many of them are quite old-fashioned with outdated furniture and lights. The dorms are also quite expensive. You can easily find a location at the Latvian University dorms, get a room for a vastly cheaper price that is substantially cleaner and comfortable. The only good thing about these dorms is that the location is more or less convenient.

There is also a substantial problem with the cockroaches and the dorms are getting disinfected every few weeks, asking people to put everything in plastic bags to protect the items from the chemicals. It's just extremely irritating at this point.

In the service, everyone is just grumpy and doesn't really seem to care enough to help you. Even the administration struggles communicating with people in English, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. You pay 160 euro/month for dorms and they can't even provide you with free toilet paper and replace the soap in the...

Гостиница находится на втором этаже убитого студенческого общежития. По сути под гостиницу переделан этаж общежития, на остальных этажах живут студенты.||||В номерах грязно, пыль и грязь не убирают, под кроватью и на шкафах мусор. ||Условия в номерах разные, есть номера на три койки и к вам могут подселить кого-нибудь при этом нужно будет ходить в общий грязный душ через весь коридор, есть номера с туалетом и душем. Но они тоже не могут порадовать чистотой. В душе плесень и грибок. Также в некоторых номерах есть советский холодильник, который будет мешать вам спать своим громким мотором. ||||Уборщицы угрюмые и неприветливые. Постельное белье меняют по настроению раз в 2 недели, а то и реже.||||В номерах холодно. Ночью очень холодно. Пользоваться обогревателем запрещают. Если не послушаться, могут просто молча забрать второе одеяло. ||||На гостинице висит одна звезда. Кто ее туда повесил не понятно. По условиям там как минимум минус три звезды.||||Из дополнительного на этаже есть кухня с минимальным набором посуды. На кухне не убирают, мусор под раковиной не выносят никогда, он просто скапливается и дает простор тараканам. ||На первом этаже есть тренажерный зал, в котором не работает вентиляция и просто нечем дышать. Также есть стиральная машина, в которой за 2 евро можно постирать вещи. Но в очередь надо записываться заранее, т.к. на все четырехэтажное общежитие одна стиральная машина.||||В общежитии запрещено курить, но на лестницах постоянно пахнет куревом, студенты курят на лестничных площадках.||||Расположена гостиница на выселках, в спальном районе частного сектора, в 30-40 минутах езды на автобусе до центра. ||||Wifi ловит плохо. До многих номеров просто не добивает. Приходится ходить по коридору и ловит постоянно пропадающий коннект.||||Плюсом можно назвать бюджетные цены, особенно большие скидки для студентов РТУ, однако никакой ценой невозможно оправдать отсутствие обычных человеческих условий и...
