I was swayed by the quirky style and the location of the restaurant (I am weird that way) so I went in for a very late lunch. I ordered sweet and sour crispy chicken with egg noodles. A large portion (~12€), I thought it to be a fair price. The food arrived in about the expected time. I was so hungry that at first I was relieved to finally eat something. A few bites in, I noticed that the food was very bland. The more I ate, the blander it became, to the point of tasting like a wet floor mop. I didn’t finish as the portion was huge and I didn’t want to take the rest away because I had other plans for the evening, so I though fine - just a mistake, I’ll pay and never come back. So I paid for the meal and left, but only to look into my phone about 10 minutes later, when I was already headed for my other plans that evening, when I realised that my card was charged with 19,50€ instead of 12€ which was for the price on the menu. I don’t know if this was a mistake or was I just served really sub-par food and robbed to top it off. Regardless - The food taste was poor and the price was way too high. You can eat 5 star food for half the price in other places in Riga. Just...
Read moreTerrible service. For the first time in my life, I encountered a waiter telling me what I should say, how to prepare a dish. It was my first and last time in this cafe. We ordered seafood soup (for me it is soup with fish broth), they brought the soup that looked like jelly. The waitress said that we should have said that it was cooked with broth, took the dishes and left without offering to remake them or something else instead of this dish. When we were paying, it turned out that they hadn't taken them off the bill because they wouldn't sell them to anyone. But it's the waiter's job to offer me a choice of what to cook with, not me telling her, because she was proving to me that it was MY duty. According to the waitress I MUST know how to cook Chinese food. Teach your waitress to...
Read moreOne of the worst dining experiences ever. A “pseudo” chinese restaurant which is ran by owners who doesn’t know nothing about the asia or food from china. And to make matters worse it looks like they are not even interested in improving, as bad as the quality of food was is difficult to miss. The, so called, Chinese atmosphere where enhanced by an Arabic music. The establishement is worn out and unsanitary. It’s cold and damb. The food was prepared in a microwave. The meat was probably prepared a week ago and stored in the fridge for another one. The souce had slimy consistency, and even an total amature could make it look better if he tried to cook for the first time in his life. The prices are incredibly high for such a quality of food, which is entirely a speculation to the establishments location. This is not worth 4,5 stars as it is claimed when searched in google. We payed about 37 eur per two persons for a 1 course meal and a small bear. Would not recomend to anyone! Please don’t spend your money and spare your good mood for the evening.
Absolūti viena no briesmīgākajām vakariņu pieredzēm kāda jebkad piedzīvota.
