Kai Beach Club — Hotel in Thoum

Overall disappointed. Prices are inconsistent - greeter at the front will tell you the cost is $40 per person for a table while someone else will tell you it’s $60. At one point I was told it would be $80 per person to accommodate a group of 4.

The food is very subpar. Really expected more, especially given the prices. Shisha was OK and the DJ / singer was good. Shisha is not included in the minimum charge you pay - of course they don’t tell you that when you reserve.

However, the disappointment really comes from management. The floor manager is incredibly narcissistic and thinks he is more important than he really is. When you have a concern he won’t even address you and will walk past you. The staff are useless in this regard as well - even if you try to speak to him directly. They will inform you of a particular accommodation - such as new seating - and then won’t do it. Walks back and forth making himself look busy. In my case they didn’t do it at all when we asked even though they told me there was availability. The problem is that when your staff think they’re more important than the clientele they’re hired to assist, service declines.

Worst place in Lebanon everrr!!! We went to Kai last Tuesday for Carlos show! To begin with we were asked to come walk in and couldn’t make a reservation because we were 2 people but when we got there we saw people that had table for 2!

When speaking on the phone with the hostess we asked her if we came walk in if they had a minimum charge and she said no! And we got to Kai they gave us 2 chair on the bar and they never mentioned a minimum fee for the bar! But when the bill came they charged it and shisha wasn’t included in the minimum charge

We go out a lot in Lebanon and minimum charge is something normal here but they always let you know before so you know!

When we called the manager to let him know he took the waiter on the side and started screaming at him and after that he came to see us! And after explaining everything to him instead of coming back and talking to us he just left and was avoiding us

Bad service and unprofessional staff! We entered and saw no receptionist / no staff so we went downstairs and told someone we want a day bed and asked to pay, they said no pay the end .. ok fine. Someone comes up in the middle after we ordered drinks and said “ you didn’t pay”. Then again we said “ you told us to pay after , no stress we will pay now “ we paid then again a lady approached us she was so rude and said to us “ you need to pay” and we already paid… so so rude treating us like thieves because we are not from Lebanon. We got on with it and tried to enjoy it but felt like we were robbed. Drinks were all ice and over priced and food was so average. Will not be back. Pool is dirty and it’s very loud. Strange loud music and the waiter only likes people who show off and those who spend the most money . We felt like absolute plebs and will ever be back. Don’t waste...
