I am not a picky traveler and I have stayed in many places in my travels, from 5 star hotels to hostels but I have never encountered a hotel which is as shady as this one. I have never ever encountered a hotel with such poor service attitude and complete lack of respect for their customers. I can safely say I would never EVER recommend this hotel to anyone.||||Initially, I was excited to stay at Am Klouschter because of the great reviews it had received from other guests and the fact that they advertised a spa/sauna and a gym. Imagine my surprise when I was checked in that the hotel spontaneously decided to close the spa/sauna facilities for the whole weekend I would be there (Thurs-Monday), because they were "at full capacity". For a customer paying $150 per night, this was a total slap in the face. I was informed this at check in with no apology or explanation. I was not even sent an email in advance that this would happen. Clearly, I was upset when I found out but what shocked me more was the disgusting attitude of the receptionist who was not only unapologetic, but extremely haughty and self righteous! I had decided to splurge a little on a nice hotel and enjoy a nice holiday in Luxembourg, but in the end I paid $150 for a slap in the face and a whole lot of attitude. DISGUSTING.||||Second, I had already called the hotel the day before asking if they had a refrigerator in the room which the receptionist confirmed. I said I would be bringing yogurt and so I would like to be able to keep it chilled. The receptionist assured me it was okay. Imagine my shock and horror when I check into the room and the refrigerator is not cold. I go down to the reception and tell them this, and they just shrug and say well it is not really a refrigerator it just keeps stuff at room temperature. No apology, no explanation. I told them their very own receptionist confirmed to me that I would be able to keep my food chilled in the fridge, and I had brought some dairy produce that could not be kept in the open. I asked if I could store it in their fridge or something. The lady just shrugged and said no. She made no effort to take responsibility for her colleague's mistake, offer some help. She did not even try to apologize at all. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. I was so angered by her stupid haughty expression. And I am so angry I am locked into a non-refundable rate in this horrible hotel which has NO RESPECT FOR ITS CUSTOMERS AND BLATANTLY LIES TO THEM.||||Last but not least after I checked in I was given a stupid list of rules about the hotel room, one of which said I was not allowed to eat in my hotel room. Never in my life have I paid $150, or even less than that and been told I can't eat in my own room. Well, maybe next time I should also not use the bathroom, or not sleep in my own room then.||||RIDICULOUS! This hotel does not deserve any stars, and I would recommend you stay far far away from here. I am so upset because I had such a wonderful time in a different hotel in Luxembourg in May this year and I had such fond memories. Unfortunately, my memories and experience in Luxembourg will forever be marred by the crappy service and horrible staff of Am Klouschter. Save yourself the stress and unhappiness and stay...

Ten seconds after I posted this review, a random burly male staff just barged into my hotel room, and opened the door without knocking or anything. I could've been naked, I could have been in the shower. Is it me or is this hotel just highly abnormal?! I am feeling so upset and...
Read moreThis is a lovely hotel which appears to have been recently renovated. We just had B&B during a quick overnight stay and the buffet breakfast was very good, though as I only take continental breakfast I can't comment on the cooked dishes.||The bedroom and bathroom, although both large and very clean, is where the hotel lets itself down. There was no full length mirror anywhere, no air conditioning, and the lovely, huge walk-in shower only had a pathetic hand held shower head. At €170 per night you expect better amenities than that. A shame. When I queried the shower at reception I learned that all the rooms have similar showers, except for the suites which also have a bath. ||Perhaps there is a suitable rear entrance for wheelchair users but the main entrance is utterly impractical for wheelchairs as it is up a steep...
