Dimmi Si — Restaurant in Mondorf-les-Bains

You know, if one were to judge Dimmi Si from the street, they might find themselves rather taken with its urban finesse. It possesses that delicate hint of sophistication that sings "modern Italy" without screaming it. However, step inside, and the gastronomic narrative takes an unexpected detour. To my chagrin, the dishes, while presented with an intention of flair, felt void of the depth and nuance one expects from Italian cuisine. I yearned for that comforting embrace of a rich carbonara or the inspiring kiss of a well-made risotto – yet, each bite lacked that Italian whisper which says, "Stay a while; savor the moment." The staff? Some waiters are not well-versed in the dance of hospitality.

For the discerning lover of all things authentically Italian, this might not be the culinary pitstop of dreams. The potential's there, but it feels untapped. Would I tell you to go? If you're on an explorative spree, perhaps. But for the Italian aficionados? It might be a passeggiata you'd...

Very bad experience!!!! I would like to share the moment that I had with my husband and my friends. We settled at the terrace of the restaurant "Dimmi si" in Mondorf-les-Bains, we ordered two Crodino and two Aperolsprtiz. We make a toast to our health and when my friend Ans drinks her first sip ... "a weird taste !!!" Her husband tastes his own and he finds that there is a weird taste. They immediately noticed that there was coarse salt in it ... in short ... having claimed the waiter did not know how to explain the presence of coarse salt in the Aperolsprtiz and even worse the restaurant manager bluntly accused of putting salt in the drink !! That was the icing on the cake - the TOP. No word of excuse on the contrary, the staff not courteous at all to the limit on the defensive ... Conclusion we did not want to dine in this restaurant anymore, we got up, left and we are...

Cannelloni and Pizza are ok, will test other menus. Atmosphere is not really cosy, but very loud. Big place, canteen-like. Another star lost for the missing friendlyness of a few waiters. I will give a second chance.

Update 23.06.2021: even after more chances, I cannot give a better rating. Last time (really last) the food was lousy. A grilled filet Steak ordered 'blue' was well done. Pasta and veggies had no taste, no salt, no pepper. Asking for this, we got those little pouches thrown on the table, although others got the mills. Grumpy service, unfriendly and incompetent.
