I would give 5 star to this place if it wasn’t for the 2 daytime receptionists who are very unfriendly and every time you approach them to ask for something it’s like a burden to help you. Two times also I was told I didn’t pay for my food when I did, so I stopped buying anything from there eventually. Rodain who works during the nights is super nice and smiles even at 2am, also the cleaners are friendly.
I was on the left side of the hotel, where the rooms are big and very clean when you move in. But I spent there 12 nights and no one ever came to clean my room. I had to chase the cleaners on the corridor to give my rubbish at least and ask for toilet paper. Depends which room you are in some can be very noisy from screaming kids at the school opposite, the rooms to the other side are a bit better. In my room, during the night there were loud banging noises several times somewhere at the bottom of the building, woken me up all the time.
We received juice and a small baobab upon arrival as a souvenir which is a nice touch.
Overall, I highly recommend the place. It’s cheap, spacious and comfortable rooms if you get the less noisy ones.

This is one of the cheapest places in town, yet in many ways it was one of the most perfect of my 3 weeks-plus trip through Madagascar. Huge room, beautiful balcony with great views, huge bathroom with great warm shower, everything spotlessly clean. They serve breakfast from 5 a.m. onwards (handy if you're off to a National Park trip), and staff from reception through the restaurant all the way to housekeeping were very friendly and warm. Plus, perfect location right in the centre of town. Absolutely loved it and hope I'll be...
Read moreI arrived late at night, but I was relieved that it was close to the bus terminal. The staff were friendly and very nice. It's a convenient location as it's very close to the beach and market. The yogurt at the reception was cheap and delicious.
I stayed here for a total of 3 nights, and the hot shower didn't work for 2 nights. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all for 1 night. My friend who stayed in a different room on the same day seemed to be able to use the hot shower and Wi-Fi, so it may have just been that my room was bad, but it was...
