BLEU SOLEIL — Restaurant in Madagascar

I'm 43 years old and have travelled in more than 50 countries, many of them in Asia and Africa and this is by far the worst meal I have ever eaten. We ordered zebu entrecote with green pepper sauce. When we tried to cut it, it was almost impossible. It was tough as leather and it was basically raw. So we asked if they could grill it again for some minutes. After 20min we got a new steak without sauce and still raw. Since we were hungry, we tried to eat it. But it was extremely chewy. So we ate the rice and the veggies. However also the vegetables were not well cook. The beans were hard and not tasty at all. We also had a tequila sunrise which was good, but quite small. The punch coco was almost like a cream. We spent three days in Morondava and stumbled upon this restaurant almost by chance. We initially stopped just for a drink, but ended up staying for lunch — and then came back again and again. The food here is truly outstanding. After eight months of traveling across Africa, this is without a doubt the best meal I’ve had. The duck breast (magret de canard) was absolutely exquisite — perfectly cooked, tender, and rich in flavor. And the cocktails? Simply amazing — well-balanced, refreshing, and full of flavor. You can really tell they put thought and care into every drink, just like with the food. Add to that the warm service and breathtaking views over the ocean, and it’s an experience you won’t forget. Si certains autres clients ont certainement été mieux traités au cours de notre soirée, étant donnée la visite d’un certain politicien, nous nous serions passés de ce traitement honteux de la part de votre établissement. Merci de nous l’indiquer à l’avance lorsque nous ne sommes pas les bienvenus.

À savoir : Le service était extrêmement long, les plats sont sortis à plus de 10 min d’intervalles, impossible pour nous (10 personnes) de partager le repas tous ensemble On nous a servi sur la terrasse en soirée avec des rafales de vent, c’est notre choix. Mais lorsque les places à l’intérieur se sont libérées et que les plats se faisaient long, nous n’avons pas été redirigés à l’intérieur, contrairement à d’autres On nous a servi de la soupe sans cuillère (comptez encore un certain temps avant l’arrivée d’une serveuse si nous ne nous levions pas) On nous a également servi un plat qui avait été servi au préalable à un autre client car il n’en voulait finalement pas La serveuse nous a servi une pizza qui n’était pas celle citée et a ainsi créé la confusion qui a amené à recommander des pizzas Évidemment la confusion n’a pas été détectée aussitôt étant donnée le goût curieusement indissociable de certains plats Pour couronner le tout, ces plats servis baignés dans l’huile ont rendu malades quelques-uns d’entre nous, entraînant des maux de ventre persistants
