Technically the hotel is categorised as budget inn by its management ||As the hotel is only a few months only, everything seems clean and OK for now. There are signs of deterioration, wear and tear.||Located in a housing area (Taman Bukit Segar Selangor), it is away from any 'downtown' attractions though nearest shopping centers like Cheras Leisure Mall and Cheras Sentral are only 5-10 min drive away. ||Both Mamak and Chinese Restaurants are walking distance away ||Incidentally, the hotel management also runs Paparich Restaurant which located at the ground floor. ||||Parking is public with no security ||||The check-in part was decently fuss-free. Reception staff were friendly. ||I took one standard room and one deluxe room. Since I prefer adjoining rooms, I was given two room with no windows. Rooms were furnished with basic amenities such as a small (built-in) desk, small wardrobe, LCD TV (with 3 Astro Channels), and a king-sized bed. Toilet is basic shower and WC lumped together ||The deluxe room came with a king bed and a single bed. Desk area is big enough for 2 people ||As such the deluxe room is approximately 30% larger than the standard. ||All rooms are with laminated flooring ||||Since I was staying for over a week, I get to observe how management run the hotel. Put things short, it was still a way to go before they could establish a good SOP to run a hotel. ||||There were grouses I raised but not really attention-ed to. Such as ||1) irregular room house-keeping. they even skipped cleaning my room a couple of times ||2) since I brought my own toiletries, they decided to skip re-stocking the shower gel and shampoo in toilet. Come-on, don't be a cheapie ! ||3) air-con was super dirty with dust practically covered the dust filter. complaint to management was 'ignored' with reason that they only 'service' the air-con every 6 months. I think they got it wrong with servicing the aircon vs regular cleaning the air-con's filter||4) spider webs all over the room. the webs were still there even after a courtesy call to the management. if the manager could miss the web, I don't expect the cleaners to detect them in the first place! ||||bottom line, there are better basic (budget) accommodation for the money paid. As I said, stay if the location is the...
Read moreThere are two Home Inns in Cheras, this is the one in the more residential area of Taman Bukit Segar and not close to any shopping mall, there are some small convenience stores and restaurants next to the hotel and around the block. ||||The hotel is on a street corner facing a construction site for a new apartment block but as it is nearly complete there was not any noise. ||||The check in team were actually very friendly . The basic rooms were not very nice, small and stuffy, for me also too near to other rooms. The next grade rooms were corner rooms, with spacious wet room style bathroom.||||Maintenance - there ar issues here, the windows don't close and the curtains were not hanging so sunlight could get in, the water in the taps needed to run a long time before the brown colour went. The bed was comfortable, the pillows firm, the air conditioning quiet and effective, so I got a good night sleep. As a light sleeper there was some morning noise from traffic and dogs. I didn't hear noise from other hotel guests, although the smaller rooms in main corridor seemed more liable to that. ||||This is a basic budget hotel, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone but if on a budget and you need to stay in this area it's fine. No...
Read moreI've recently checked in this particular hotel and I'm sorry to say but I'm dissapointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by your staff ( malay guy ). He displayed an immense lack of training by your management as he was rude and tried to commit fraud. I checked out slightly late which was 1.03pm - 1.05 pm. Upon checking out i was told by the receptionist that as he quote ' Your RM 50.00 burn ' due to my fault as i was unable to check out within the allotted time given which was before 1pm. He did not even provide me with a receipt. I've checked in quite a number of hotel before this and i was shocked by the fraudulent act he tried to pull off. If RM 10.00 was deducted upon late checkout i understand but RM 50.00 is ridiculous. ||||I hope that the management of this hotel would take the appropriate actions against this staff to prevent this from happening in the near future to...
