We booked ocean suite for two nites before we end our trip in Sabah. I got to say it is the best decision I ever made!!! The ocean suite is awesome for our family of five! We have baby and elderly, our family get to rest in the living room with astro tv when the weather doesnāt permit us to go out! I love that unit because the design is just lovely and homey! And having two toilets in the unit is sooo freakkkking important, especially during this pandemic time, u have to shower as quickly as possible when u get back to the suite! So two bathroom is really plus plus plus point for us! Although the water pressure becomes smaller when otherās unit is also using the water, but it doesnāt bother us so much. Also, if you are IKEA furniture lovers š u just got to check out this place, owner used almost 90% from Ikea (which my husband are veryyyy into it) great design with modern touch!
So once the sky was clear, we ran across the beach! The truly white sandy beach and crystal clear water that you can only get in remote island, is right at Kudat! Itās really unbelievable that I can even spot fishes on the shore! Thatās usually only available at thailand island š but itās here in Kudat! I regret not knowing this beach earlier! Too bad we only get one clear sky for a day during our stay! Hopefully we get to visit again during the bright sunny day! I wanna see 3 layers of the sea!
Also, doggies were just cuteee, peanut and jill ā¤ļø Jill love to stay at our doorstep and my son was always excited to welcome her through the glass š they helped me to distract him a little when he is having temper in the house because of rain š thanks doggies! Owner is sweet too, she reminded us over the text about the road conditions at Kudat when we heading back to KK (we met floods).
One thing bother us a little is the drain smell that came from toilet, we just got to ensure the toilet door is always closed to prevent the smell spreading out. But overall, Kotak Kotak marked a perfect ending to the end our two months trip in Sabahā¤ļø...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed here for two days and it was a family trip with fantastic experience. We could have a adventure road trip while driving there from kk town. We stayed in a private cabin. It's new, neatly and everything well prepared. I was waken by the chirping sound of birds and I could seeing the sea view by laying on my bed. We enjoyed some seaside activities such as snookering and there is a diving store beside with 2 min walking distance. There is another MUST visit place nearby-"Tip of Borneo" with 15 min walk and we could enjoy the sea view and sunset during evening time. It was a good place to enjoy the starry night after dinner and we could chit chat under the stars. Highly recommended and it's worth to stay. The most important thing- not much tourist notices about this place. We could stay away from traffic jam, breath for the fresh air, sit back and relax, enjoy the nature which surrounding by trees and sound...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed in Kotak Kotak for 4 nights. We booked via the website. If you looking for a nice beach hideaway, this is the place to be! The rooms are basic and clean, but very convenient with absolutely amazing view on the beach. Comfortable bed, hot shower and airco. Wifi not in the room, but in the community room there is wifi. Sookie, is a lovely host and took great care of us and excellent communication. Be aware you are on the beach and in the jungle, so there are a few biting bugs around. So don't forget your anti mosquito spray ;-) There are some restaurants and mini markets on walking distance. The nature and the beach are worth visiting š To get from KK to Kudat we took a shared Van/Bus. You can find them on Merdeka Square near King Park Hotel. Sookie thank you for the...
