OYO HOME 90288 Masilau Valley Kundasang — Hotel in Borneo

Stayed at the 2-storey green house for 1 night and thought the experience was very bad compared to the price we paid.

1. Location: Search for the strawberry homestay signboard, this homestay is right next to it
2. Rooms: 2 rooms at the ground level. 1 with queen bed, another with queen and single bed. Only 1 room has a fan. The worst thing is the small room doesn’t have a door but a see through curtain instead.
3. Toilet: Only 1 toilet. The heater is working. But the ceiling is dusty and moldy as per photo shown. I also saw a worm while inside.
4. kitchen: There’s a working fridge, stove, water heater. Cutleries and cooking pots are provided. But the cleanliness is questionable. A lot of ants here.
5. Amenities: WiFi and TV provided. TV only has basic channels.
6. surrounding: there’s a self service laundry right in front of the reception but didn’t get to try as it closed at 10pm. No mini-market nearby but saw a small shop open...

We enjoyed our stay here - it had a fab view of mount kinabalu from the window. We stayed in the family room; the room seemed pretty new, nice bathroom and a TV with netflix. There was some power issues but nothing major. It was very homely and we were also able to walk to the maragang registration centre as we were doing the hike which was super helpful baring in mind it was a 6am start! We did hire a car however to get around the local area which was really useful....
