OYO Home 90407 Blue Mount Homestay — Hotel in Borneo

I think you’ll either like it or totally hate it depends on your health condition..you’ll like it if you are young and having good joints..the place is totally a big NO if you are coming with elderly or anyone with difficulties to climb stairs..it located at side of the hills which almost 50 stairs to climb from the parking area..(please refer to my short videos attached with this review)

There are only 3 limited parking spaces but you still can park at road sides.

To check-in there is a boy on standby at small unit just behind the check in room..call for him..i need to go there because he did not notice me coming as he is playing mobile game with earphone..luckily i can hear his voice..

I took the front family unit which consists of 2 queen sized beds (only 1 bedroom with toilet attached)..both bedrooms were upstairs..then downstairs got kitchen, toilet, living area with plasma tv (got MyTv attached)..no fridge nor stove, but there were induction cooker, air fryer, knifes, rice cooker, toaster, water heater (not sure if the electrical equips were functioning well, as i did not use them)..at outside got area to hang out and bbq (i mean attached to the unit, not common place)

Oh NO DRINKING WATER provided ya

No fans but it is quiet cold here..i m not sure at noon which may be hot..

I minus 1 star just because of the beds are a bit not that comfortable if you are used with soft beds like me plus the sofa a bit smelly..

Nearby area i m not so sure..but i did notice few small shops nearby..there can be reach by walk but you might feel tired to hike back to homestay..for sure there is a cafe exactly oposite (strawberry farm cafe, opens at 8am,closes at 5pm)

But i highly recommend this place if you need a spacious place, and reasonable price..but please2 dont try it if you are with...

Beautiful new homestay built on the side of the hill that consists of 2 separate chalets: one for 2 adults, and the other for 4 adults. The chalets are very homey and cozy, and amenities provided are quite complete: knives, cutting boards, cutlery and crockery are all provided. Induction cookers are provided as well. The mattress and blankets provided are very comfortable and clean. Both units have a balcony overlooking Kundasang, truly beautiful views. Balconies also have built-in charcoal barbecue pits. Caretakers are very friendly, and do their best to help in any way possible. At the point that we visited, there was no refrigerator provided yet. Not advisable for elderly or disabled as there is a steep staircase climb up to the units, which was built so as not to erode the natural gradient of the hill. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay, would come back for another...

Love sangat homestay ni. Yg ni kami stay di mini house. Boleh muat 2 orang & kalau yg ada anak kecil tu pun masih selesa lagi. Peralatan masak semua lengkap & tinggal bawa bahan masak saja. Boleh bbq luar pintu rumah ni saja x perlu turun bawah. Best sgt. Bersih & water heater berfungsi dgn baik. Paling penting, siap ada tv uolls. Sgt recommended ya. Will...
