BAD MANNER AND SOME STAFF ARE NOT WELL TRAINED IN THEY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILL. WHY? ||When we check in, we was greeted nicely and all was fine, we took the RM120 family room with king size bed and a single bed. During my reservation through the phone, i asked if there's breakfast included and they politely say no. But then my brother in law also took a room as same as mine, with add on breakfast of RM10. So i was interested when my brother in law inform me that there add on that we can add for the breakfast. Since i prefer conveniences to enjoy breakfast in the hotel, i took my time to ask the receptionists at the counter.|I didn't get their names thou, but the first staff that was on duty in the evening was polite but then she seem not knowledgeable for my inquires, so she excuse herself to call her colleague. Here where my beautiful evening ruined by RUDE STAFF of yours. Firstly she didn't even bother asking my name and my room number. I was really polite asking her about the breakfast menu of RM10 which i am interested to add on. Is it wrong when your customer asked what kind of breakfast we gonna have ? She then rudely pointed the menu at the counter. I ask her nicely again was this menu for whole RM10 or any other such as buffet or unlimited. Surprisingly her response to me is "MANA BOLEH SEMUA INI RM10" as she pointed the menu with sarcastic tone. I was upset the way she answered and explained it to me, if only she was humble and explained it to me in a good manners i wouldn't be this upset. I was then furious not because the RM10 but because of her (the receptionist) etiquettes. In past, I worked in a hotel line (hotelier) before and this is not the way we were trained. Obviously this hotel need to train their staffs. Learn to have empathy and love your job. One bad rotten apple will eventually ruins all the good apples. The room only have shampoo and soap as complimentary so do bring your own tooth brush and tooth paste. I do like the family room it is spacious and big and smell nice. But please do improve your customer service. Some are snobbish. Thank you for...

THE BEST HOTEL IN KUNDASANG

Perkasa Hotel is located at the highest point in Kundasang at some 5,000 ft above sea level. Its a 3 star hotel but have the amenities and service qualities of a 4 star hotel with friendly and helpful staff with smiles all the time. No issue is too small for them and they will go out of their way to assist. The best feature of the hotel are its grounds. At the highest point in Kundasang you get unhindered view of Mt Kinabalu peak in all its grandeur and majesty. The gardens are beautifully manicured and there are lots of flowers around. Surrounding the hotel and its gardens are lush pine tree forests. The view of Kundasang and the Ranau valley is BREATHTAKING!! (No exaggeration here). The ultimate bonus is a full view of the mountain from my bedroom window which can be fully slid open so that I can see the magnificence of Mt Kinabalu from the comfort of my bed. The sunrise and sunset views must be THE BEST of all hotels in Kundasang. I cant say enough to show how much this hotel has made my trip here that much more special in every way. It is not enough for me to say that Perkasa Hotel highly recommended. It definitely is THE hotel to stay in and MUST STAY OR VISIT IN KUNDASANG! Price wise between Rm280 to Rm400 per night for normal superior rooms but worth every penny!!! Definitely my choice for future visits to this lovely part of the world, a slice of New Zealand in the tropics!! I will for sure...

Recently stayed at this hotel as part of a tour, on arrival we were made welcome then shown to our room. It was adequate for the stay but beds not that comfortable, wifi was hit and miss and by moving a foot the signal was lost.||Problems came with the food ( or lack of decent food),we are put into a little side room down some steps because the hotel was hosting religious meals. The first night the food was barely warming not a good variety, breakfast the next morning was cold because they had not lit warming lights under the trays. But the meal that night was atrocious, it was barely warm for the same reasons as breakfast , the "beef" curry consisted of gelatinous fat in a sauce. Our guides complained but no other food sorted. We were allowed though to go out into the main body of the hotel to have some of the food that had been prepared for the locals meal. Unfortunately all meats etc had gone so brad and butter pudding washed down with luke warm coffee had to suffice. They hadn't learnt from these mistakes and yes breakfast was...

Old but gold Stayed in the same hotel about 20 plus years ago, great to see some effort to update the rooms with the times. Elevator size is a little claustrophobic. They do what they can and for both nights we were there, parking can be tricky with weddings (one each night) being hosted here. Soundproofing from rowdy guests (wedding guests?) was terrible especially in the corridors. Room was satisfying with the generous size and comfy bed, the cleanliness however leaves a big factor between coming back or not. The housekeeping team needed to put a lot more effort in. Small trash left by previous guests (even with housekeeping “clean up”) remained in the same spot for all the days we were there. Please do better, we really want to come back again. I also hope the management can consider changing the air vent in the bathroom (see pic). To be fair, Air con is good, water pressure is also good, WiFi is surprisingly great. Don’t stop being good, Strive to be better, we love you!

Started off with a deluxe king-sized bed room . View is fine but caught 1 insect (those kind of insects that appear when carpet is dirty). Requested for a room change, and got a smaller room, with super old and dirty environment. Pic 2: dirty and old sofa Pic 3: marker pen marks on the wall and mirror Pic 4: bedside switch that is not working well Pic 5: another insect found Pic 6: broken toiletries holder Pic 7: broken door stopper. Even worse, got a super lousy hotel view. I am never staying here ever again. Being an outskirt hotel is no excuse to giving at least a clean hotel.
