NB HOTEL NUSA IDAMAN — Hotel in Iskandar Puteri

I’m a regular, well I used to be. Reached hotel ard 2pm, and sudden heavy rain, we were drenched and soaked in rain, and we asked if the rooms are available? The malay guy said the room is ready but you cant check in now, you need to wait until 2.45pm exactly for check in. I asked if we can request for early check in, since there’s no any other customers, and that since the room is ready, and explained that we were drenched and soaked in rain and that we really need to check in to get changed, after a long drive from KL. I wouldn’t mind paying additional for early check if it’s required but that option was not even presented to me as the malay guy outright rejected me of my early check-in request.

Surprisingly, Labour Day, Manager not working, not even answering her phone. Apparently need to get Boss approval for early checking in, despite their Hotel Rules & Regulations that stated “Early check-in is offered based on availability “ Which I’ve asked and the room is available.

I was not expecting much when I booked this place for a stopover for a midnight rest before driving further up north after getting across the causeway.

This hotel is located along a row of shophouses with public free parking right in front and some eateries and minimarts on the same row.

They have a 24 hour front desk which is manned in which I could check in even at 1 am. I have went to some other shop house hotels in JB late at night with some difficulty finding someone to check me in before so this is something worth noting.

When we entered the room we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and set up in the room. It was nicely carpeted unlike most other budget hotels with cold hard floor. They provided soap, toothbrush and comb.

The bed was more on the firm side which I like and the pillows were soft how I liked it. There are usb charging ports on the wall and a tv. 2 small bottles of water are provided.

I would come back again to stay in the future and this will be my default after...

Clean for the price paid. There were some stains on the sheets but they were probably washed and clean, i hope. The room and toilets are clean. Theres water, comb, toothbrush, body and hair soap. No hand soap or slippers. So if you're particular, you might wanna bring a pair of disposable bedroom slippers to wear on the carpet. The bed was comfortable and the aircon was strong. There are also hangers to hang clothes. Do take note that there isn't a fridge. The hotel also doesn't allow alcohol consumption within their premises which is good for me since we don't drink anyway. 50rm cash deposit will be requested at check in. After check out, the front desk will contact housekeeping to check ur room before returning your deposit which i find is reasonable.Don't expect much views as there is construction adjacent to the hotel.Overall, will stay here again if I'm visiting around the area. about a 5 to 10 min ride...
