Oriental City Inn — Hotel in Iskandar Puteri

i booked it online, but turned out there are lots of typical hotel surrounded Skudai Area and its way cheaper with newer buliding condition. when i checked with the guy in front desk, published fare is way cheaper. hints: if you are malaysian, you should book it by phone and ask for cheaper price, it is totally possible.||||i stayed only for a day. the room was neat and spacious. this hotel offered no breakfast, but dont worry, you can find lots of food stalls near by. ||||they guy who sat in the front desk was old enough, and didnt understand english that much. so be prepared...||||from the airport, take public transport to skudai area and you can reach this hotel with no difficulties. it is located 5 minutes walking from the main skudai street. the front desk guy probably will say that there is no public transport from and to the airport, and he will suggest you took a cab. well,...

Cons|1.Small toilet with stinky smell but is is clean, power shower n great soap bar. towel is standard white n thick||2.Lobby is standard but guess are allowed to smoking especially at sofa. totally annoyed me and my guess who come to visit me. even the front desk staff smoking with his friends at sofa. by 10pm the tv at lobby still loud and disturbing.||3.Iron is provided but no rules. guest bring up to room and never return. should take room number or deposit to let them use in hour to let other guest can use. best if just put the iron stand at ground level||4.Lock not really secure and the gap to wide allowing sound and smell(from smoking) entering the room.||5.No study table and stool and no hanger.||PRO's|1.Flat price no weekend rate||2.Standard room, good location and convinience for store and food stall||I like this hotel except need to retrain the discipline...

This was hands down the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. The room reeked of mold, the wardrobe looked like it could fall apart at any moment, and the bathroom was damp. The door’s security lock was broken, and the peephole? It was literally just a hole stuffed with tissue.

The bedsheets had holes—not great, but I could live with it. However, the pillows smelled absolutely disgusting. I wanted to call housekeeping, only to realize there wasn’t even a phone in the room.

The next morning, when we went to check out, the cleaning staff told us we had to wait because the receptionist was out having breakfast. Apparently, we couldn’t check out until he finished eating and returned.

And the worst part? The pillow was so smelly that after sleeping on it for a night, my entire head stank. I had to wash my hair just to get rid of the...
