Bayu Marina Residences — Hotel in Johor

had a 3 night stay originally planned but decided to book 1 additional night stay earlier than expected because of the massive incoming jam from the 1st link causeway. Booked for the studio apartment with view for the 1st night, followed by studio apartment with river view for 3 nights. Contacted Mr Ng on the check-in procedures on the night before departing. He was nice to reply promptly and send a pdf file for the procedures of check in and check out.

Contacted Mr Ng in the morning of the check - in, to ask if I could have a early check in at 1pm or 2pm as I was super tired and sleepy from driving with my partner. Mr Ng called me up and told me there were a slight problem with my studio apartment that I booked because of Aircon and that it would take some time for maintenance to fix it. He offered me to switch the room to 2 bed room apartment facing the river view. A free double upgrade for my room 😁 It was really nice and kind of Mr Ng. Not only that, he gave me a early check-in at 0130pm. That was a big huge bonus for a room upgrade and earliest check- in. Gave me a high floor too! 😍 And super near the lift side. Parking lot was near to the lift, too. Thank goodness as I was struggling with alot of goodies bags and shopping bags from the car.

The room when I entered, were spacious! Love the living room and the main room beside the balcony window. Balcony is awesome. Smoking is allow at the balcony side only. Both toilets and rooms were super clean. Heater works well enough. Aircon is good. Power socket is placed a good area for charging the phones and etc. View is just fine for me. TV channels is good! Alot of malaysian channels that I wished SG has to offer.. But signal was up and down. Maybe due to the rain. But overall, I love how easy the check-in and check-out procedure is. It's so hassle-free. The security is tight there and everything throughout my stay for 5days 4 nights was fantastic and excellent! I went to check - out super early at around 530am as it is a PH Labour Day. Didn't want to go through massive jams at the causeways.

Overall, I would recommend those that are driving and not driving, to come and stay here. It is probably less than 10mins away to drive to Pandan without traffic. 20mins to Kipmart and Tampoi. 8mins away to Midvalley/ Sogo Mall. 12mins to 15mins away to KSL and all the other malls in the city centre areas. ♥️ There's also a petrol station, right before you make a turn. It is a lovely one. With a small little cafe inside. There's also street food selling some nice simple food outside the petrol station there. If you hunting for some keria, cupcorns or corn bakar, sotong king and sausages, chicken bakar which is bbq chicken. You should take a pit stop there before going back to the resort. ♥️ I would come and stay again one fine day 😊 Thank you to Mr Ng for the marvelous job, well done! Pros: Studio suite at very affordable price. Clean and very spacious. About 600-700sqft space with kitchen cabinet, microwave (oven?), dining table with 4 seats. Sofa facing TV. Balcony facing swimming pool (for waterfront view). Complete ammenities. King size bed or twin sharing available. 2 access card provided, 1 for you to leave in the room, so that you could still power your devices after a long day.

Cons: City view's rooms have damped smelly shower curtain. Waterfront view cost a bit more, both types of room don't have fantastic view day or night (unless there was pool party, in the case of waterfront view).

Other worth noting: -power socket below table, have to untie the power cord for your notebook computer. -did not try microwave oven. -room is chilly throughout despite turning off the wall a/c unit (facing bed). -other suites with multiple rooms available, suitable for family. -selection of dim sum is being served for breakfast. First time having such breakfast from hotel.

Review based on studio suite facing waterfront and city.

I tried to 3-room suite. Despite the savings per head, the overall size of the suite was considered small. The smallest room was quite cramped inside. So you might be better off having separate studio suite unit with more space and freedom. Not to mention you don't have to share the TV with...

Had gone to this resort 3 years ago. 3 years ago, this place was very new and amazing. ||||However, last Friday we checked into the apartment it was terrible. The room 1106 was full of cig smell and the floor is sticky. I even found an empty can of Tiger beer under the sofa. The carpet had some nuts on it. ||||They used to provide body wash and shampoo but this time only a small bottle of shampoo. Thank God, all of us brought our toiletries. The towels used to be very clean and white. This time, all of it was with stains. ||||The bedsheet had stains too. Making the whole 3nights very uncomfortable. Housekeeping took more than 45mins to come to the room to clean. ||||In room 1105, there wasnt any bedroom slippers and one of the beds the bedsheet and pillow was stained and EXTREMELY SMELLY. My friend could not sleep in the end sleep on the sofa. Had even asked to change but still smell as bad. ||||However, the meals provided at Bayu Resturant at level 9 is good. ||||If you are looking for a function hall, this place is good.
