Service: From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the service we received from different staff members was professional, polite and personable. Our room (942) was spacious, adequately clean, had comfortable beds, a big bathroom and a partial view of the sea, amongst others. It was lovely to have been able to sit by the window with a drink and take in the view while being grateful for the lovely room assigned to us. :)Breakfast: A self-service chicken noodle station was an interesting feature. Although it was self-service, the kind staff at the egg station went out of his way, literally and figuratively, to make me a bowl of yummy noods as soon as he discerned a culinary disaster was in the making courtesy of yours truly! That gesture of kindness, and many others from the rest, made this stay memorable and filled my heart with fondness for this place.BWH will not be a place I'd go to for a time of mall crawls, cafe hopping or even choice eateries. However, it's a place I'd return to for quiet rest, friendly and kind service that uplifts my soul, and maybe to flex my culinary inadequacies. Just changed my mind - I'll leave the culinary portions to the professionals instead.Oh, and do not miss out on the Healing Garden on the 7th floor. It's a lovingly and thoughtfully tendered private garden - one that will put a smile on your face regardless of your age. This is the first time I've been to a pool area that you'd enter after passing caged chickens, rabbits, birds and a garden that grows herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowering plants! ❤️ If you get to meet the brains behind this Eden, Mr Subra, do stop and have a chat with him. You'll be glad you did so. Fun fact - Mr Subra had named most, if not all, of the animals in his garden. Probably even named the arowana on the 5th floor! There you have it - Berjaya Waterfront Hotel - a place of kindness,...

The room: The room was quite clean and the sheets smelled fresh. We got the seaview room and the view is pretty good. The water also gets really hot which is nice for a bath. Unfortunately, the bed is slightly slanted and I felt it was easy to roll off. The room was hot at night despite the fan being on high and temp set to 16°C. Also weirdly there are no plug points near the bed, so you can only charge your phone at the desk across the room.

We also got a non-smoking room/floor. But the bathroom and the halls stink of cigarette smoke. I'm pregnant. I did not appreciate that.

The service: No one explained the parking situation to us when we came in and there are no clean signs so we had to pay for overpriced mall parking for the first night.

There were two managers in polo shirts talking at the morning buffet and they were not friendly, they were weirdly staring at everyone as they walked in.

We also called about a noise, we could hear banging from the room above us. Almost 10 minutes long. They called us back to say "the hotel staff isn't making that noise. We're not responsible." I guess that meant there was a guest making the banging noise and they didn't convey our noise complaint. Basically it's just our problem since the hotel isn't making the noise.

The breakfast buffet: Completely average. Unfortunately not a single thing was specifical or particularly delicious. Selection was medium sized. Not that much but there was a small variety.

This cost us more than RM300 a night. And it was not at all worth it. I'd have been happier and more accepting of the service and stay if we paid half that price. This place does NOT feel like a...

An old grand hotel with old layout and settings. Location wise is near to custom to Singapore. The rooms come with sea view, city view, and polo (tree) view. I got the city view room. The multi-story carpark (MSCP) is behind the hotel. For those who are driving and park there, you will need to walk quite a distance to take the lift down to the hotel main lobby. Carpark redemption is only for parking at this MSCP and not for the opened carpark in front of the hotel main lobby. This hotel is connected to a duty free mall and ferry terminal. The mall was about 40% occupied. Nothing interesting in the mall. Room was generally clean. There were rusty items here and there. Though not presentable, it wasn't much in the way. The layout of the power points was not phone charging friendly. None beside the bed. The switches were mainly on the main switch console at the bedside table. The toilet floor and bathtub were quite slippery. No recommended for elderly and young children. There was only a rain shower head. No spray head on the bidet. The room was big at about 30sqm. Spacious and comfortable. There was no fridge and safe in the room. Sturdy mattress and comfortable pillows. Though old, the hotel was in decent stage. This hotel was a 3.2/5

Giving it a perfect 4 stars for a 4 star hotel. Firstly would like to have a special mention for the service, staffs were extremely welcoming and thoughtful. It felt like royalty which is what I am very impressed with during my stay here. I booked the romantic couples package 3D2N stay in a suite, at first was skeptical as I believe the hotel is quite dated, the ventilation as I go to the upper floors were really bad and stuffy. Felt like a headache was oncoming bef I went in my room. However, the hotel lobby and first floor was really fine though. In the suite, it was a very nice and historic feel to the room. Aircon was perfect although the temperature can’t rlly be tweaked otherwise, it was rather clean. Our bedroom sockets weren’t working though only one of them were. Lastly, if you are in it for a very quiet and peaceful time, making you feel like you own the hotel this is the place to come. It was really tranquil however maybe the food wasn’t to my liking but the experience outweighs it. Location wise just take Grab haha, cheers. Special thanks once again to the lobby staff, the restaurant staff down to the room service staff. You bunch was amazing, thank you for making this anniversary memorable and remarkable!

I recently stayed here and found the experience to be quite mixed. On the positive side, the room was spacious and comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. However, there were several notable issues that detracted from the overall experience. First, the cups in the room were dirty, which was a significant oversight in cleanliness. Additionally, the entire hotel had a persistent wet rug smell that was quite off-putting. The logistics of the hotel are also problematic. The distance between the parking area and the lobby/rooms is highly inconvenient. Guests are required to park on the 6th floor and walk a considerable distance to reach the lobby and then to their rooms, which is particularly cumbersome with luggage. Breakfast was another disappointment. The selection was very limited and didn't meet the expectations set by the hotel's rating. Lastly, leaving the hotel involves going through a custom check, which unnecessarily delays departure and causes traffic. This process felt inefficient and added an unexpected inconvenience to the stay. Overall, while the room itself was decent, the other issues need to be addressed to improve the guest experience.
