Sunrise Campsite Punggai is a hidden gem along Malaysia's east coast, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and adventure. The campsite is ideally located to provide breathtaking views of the sunrise over the South China Sea, making each morning an unforgettable experience. The well-maintained facilities, including spacious campsites, clean bathrooms, and cozy cabins, ensure a comfortable stay whether you’re in a tent or cabin. The communal areas are great for socializing, and the campfire pits add a warm touch to the evenings. What truly sets Sunrise Campsite apart is the exceptional hospitality. The staff are incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They offer great local advice, assist with camp setup, and organize fun activities like beach volleyball and guided nature walks. The surrounding area is a paradise for nature lovers, with pristine beaches and scenic trails offering plenty of opportunities for exploration.

Went there during raya holiday, not surprisingly packed with campers. Our tiny tent below the newly tree hut, so we have additional shelter for cooking and sitting area which is nice. But not sure if the hut is occupied, then space can be shared or not..the first half of the day was great and weather was fine. But turns bad during the wee hours as heavy rain and storm struck. A few campers with children decided to move out as it was quite scary. Overall the experience was good with the plug point provided. Toilet facilities may need to improve to cater the high volume of users. Parking is close by and convenience to load and unload stuff. The beach is suitable for kids due to its flat surface. Good experience as it is not far from JB. Roughy an hour drive. No convenience store at the campsite as informed that it was transferred, hope it future there is a replacement. Operator is friendly and easy to deal with. Recommended for family bonding.👍

This is our 3rd camping in this area. let's give the good part first 1. Toilet is clean with strong water pressure. 2. A lot of trees so you can choose the spot you prefer. 3. These area is bright whole night. 4. Beach is nice. 5. Plenty of parking 6. Size of each camp lot is resonable can fit a few decent size tent. 7. Plug point provided, can bring your rice cooker, fan etc. Comes the caution 1. Wind can be very strong at night depends on which season you go. In Feb the wind blow is so strong 2. When the wind is strong, the sound of heavy waves run all night long. It's sound like you're staying in a very heavy rain. 3. Wish you have a good neighbour that is considerate with other around (not the camp site fault if you have a bad one).. Overall it's a nice experince for me and my son..
