LiLLA Rainforest Retreat @ Hulu Langat, Selangor — Hotel in Kajang Municipal Council

We recently booked 10 deluxe queen rooms for our family day, and overall, our experience was pleasant. There were technical booking glitches initially, but communication with Duncan was smooth, and his flexibility and consideration were greatly appreciated. On site, Eizmeen, the manager, was extremely helpful throughout our stay.

The location itself is stunning, with tasteful bali style decorations that complement the natural surroundings. The tranquil ponds, sourced directly from the nearby river, added to the peaceful ambiance. We were delighted to find clear river water teeming with fish, providing a picturesque scene and adding to the overall charm of the place.

While the lack of TV and WiFi might deter some, we found it refreshing to disconnect and immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature. Despite this, there was never a dull moment, as there were plenty of activities to enjoy, especially if you are there with your kids and family who can't get enough of nature. We wanted to hike to Pedik Waterfall, but we didn't even have time!

The comfort of the beds and pillows was also noteworthy, though we encountered a minor issue with a door knob in one of the rooms. However, the prompt response from the staff to fix it was appreciated. The food served was delicious, and we want to extend our gratitude to Dini for their excellent service. Both Eizmin and Dini deserve bonus!

We would also like to highlight some drawbacks to our stay. Some rooms experienced issues with water, and cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms, fell short of expectations. While we understand that being in nature comes with its challenges, we hope that measures can be taken to address these issues, such as implementing a backup plan for water supply.

We were pleased to find that the deluxe queen rooms in front of the pool are wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all guests.

The nighttime ambiance with the soothing sounds of nature added to the overall charm of the place.

In conclusion, despite some areas for improvement, our stay was enjoyable, and we would recommend it to others seeking a serene retreat in nature.

Horrible management for this retreat resort. Starting with the room,the smell from the ground was super bad ,bathroom seat was rocking and dirty didn't wash properly. Aircorn was super noisy and that spoily our sleep. Good thing is they allow bringing our own bbq pit n meat which is the only thing I enjoyed. HQ promised on a movie night and I approached the staff,he mentioned barang takde la baru order. After 10mins of showing anger,suddenly the projector n laptop was on and my wife requested for this while booking a week ago with the type of movie she wanted yet not fulfilled,at last we changed ourself. After spoiling our day 1,day 2 was the main highlight. We were told breakfast is from 8 to 10am. We were seated at the hall waiting for breakfast n guess wat? Breakfast was nothing. Only overnight kaya which was frozen and smelly with a loaf of bread. We confronted the staff and he said not sure why the vendor didn't send food today. He then called 1 staff and they were still sleeping !! My wife than msjd the HQ number asking for clarification and guess what again? They didn't reply her at all. I than used my mobile num and tried to msj them pretending to enquire about the rates and they replied. N I did mention my wife is msjing n you have not replied and their answer was can I get her number. Come on guys u want business u should treat your current customers well. Or else no one will recommend your stay. I was looking to celebrate my wife's birthday in this resort but after this I would never recommend this offer to anyone. I saw in the reviews breakfast was nasi lemak,meehun n kuih2 but after 2.5 hours waiting,at 10.30am breakfast was thosai n roti canai. Management didn't reply back to me or even my wife after we complaint. Imagine it was only me n my wife,n another lady in the resort having 32 rooms,despite all the issues faced, no room upgrade or even a sorry while checking out. Please think 10 times before even going here. Location was nice. But nothing else at all.
