Blood Sucking Resort Bad Management Policies (I'm saying about the Management Policies, Not the Staff)
Good Point: Friendly receptionists Near to the beach
Bad Point: Early check in (Since you have non occupy rooms, why not just let your guests for free check in? Why charge RM10/hour? How about early check out at 830am at the final day? Why don't you have some discount for us since you charged us for early check in? We were coming a long way at night took the boat and arrived the resort at 10am, everyone was tired, if you allow us to check in FOC at least we can get a short nap for recharging before our activities started.
3D2N stayed, Lunch & Dinner buffet style almost the same dishes. Our group more than 60 people, shouldn't you separate our group with other Guests?? The worst thing, half way Q, out of dishes!! The restaurant staff monitoring the dishes, once finished, then only top up a little by little or even asked us to wait because they were still cooking! GOSH... Shouldn't you cook base on the headcount you have been known earlier? Buffet time 2 hours, but around 1 hour ++ the staff already clean up the food containers, if you mentioned 2 hours, you need to make sure within the 2 hours if guests coming there MUST have food for them. Can't even request them to wait. I do not want to comment about the food. But the arrangement is really suck!
Snorkeling Package! Again... Gosh! 2 hours for the trip, however, boat picked us up at 1130am (Supposed to be 11am), at the snorkeling spot, boatman told us the trip was end at 1pm! Hello.. How about the early 30min that you were late to pick us up? Not supposed to be 130pm? Secondly, we imagined that snorkeling at some nice spots, gosh, 8min boat trip to the spot just in front the beach!! Alomakkk... Agak-agak ah nak business pun... Oh yes, besides that, the goggles, the boatman told, if drop it to the seabed, you can ask them to dive and take it back for you, but, have to charge RM20! Are you serious??! Don't tell me you are just joking ya, not funny pun. If you lost the goggles, charge RM100... Unfortunately one of my staff missing the goggle's pipe and they charge her RM30 to pay at the resort receptionist. RM30 can buy a new set of goggle. Normally, I said normally, after snorkeling trip, guests are allow to continue using the goggle for snorkel activity at nearby seaside.. but, here not allowing, once complete 2 hours (ours only 130hour, 30min burned), you need to immediately return or else being charged.
Full of sand at the corridor to the resort rooms. You suppose to prepare at least ONE water tap for guests to wash and clean the sand before entering the building but you don't. So you can just imagine how is inside the room?
See, all the bad point are about management with poor policies.
Kapas island is a nice island. Please improve your business way to attract more tourists. However, if you think you are going for one time business way, then you can carry on with your current business style.
Bukit Singa is strongly recommended to visit! However, just track by the seaside way to the destination! It's only 2KM away. Take your time and don't waste your RM15.
*I rated 1 star for the resort management and the blood sucking...
Read moreI just came back from Kapas Coral Beach Resort with my family of 21 pax. Booked through vacayria agent for 3days 2 nights fullboard stay. When we first received the photos of the resort, we thought that it looked quite decent for the price that we’re paying. To our horror, when we first arrived at the island, we were greeted with the view of rubbish at every corner of the surrounding. Then we had our 1st lunch, and to our dismay, the taste of the food were similar to hostel and hospital canteen quality with very limited options of menu. And when we checked in, we gasped at the look of the room. First an unpleasant smell instantly welcomed us. Then the floor was sticky for whatever reason. Some of the curtains were stucked at the railing. And the toilet….i had to pinch my nose and if only i can ignore the grimes and dirt that were very apparent on the toilet walls, floors and i dont even have the courage to snap a photo of the toilet bowl. One of my cousin said perhaps they were using the sea water for the toilet, hence why the toilet bowl has rusty yellowish brownish stain in it. But after few times of spraying water into it, the stain slowly washed away. So what does that tell you? Super disgusting!!! One of the 8 rooms we booked didnt even have the toilet seat cover and when we asked them to repair, their response was oh sorry we dont have a spare cover. Another room had the worst smell as the sewerage drain was nearby that room. We complaint to the hotel reception and asked for a change of room. Their respond was sorry we are fully booked. They even said we will come to the room and do something about it. Well guess what, they never came! And the list goes on…I have never seen a single smile on the staffs’ faces during the 3 days that we were here. No warmth and hospitality at all. Whenever we asked any question or even order any food/drink, the way they responded to us made us feel like we owe them something or like we have committed some crime. Even though we have fully paid our package, they still charged us rm50 per room for deposit. And they had the audacity to ask us to carry the dirty and used towels to the reception during check out process, else we cant get our deposit back. What kind of system is this? All of our 21 family members have decided that this will be the first and the last stay at this resort. And we will make sure we pass the experiences around so that others will be aware of how disappointing and unpleasant this place was. The only thing that made us happy was the...
