Experience Island Heritage Home — Hotel in Langkawi Island

Patty and Jon are great hosts. They helped us with getting a rental Car, a tour, are always helpful and very sweet. Their English is perfect. The Breakfast is made by them fresh in the Morning and very good. They are very gentle but also leave You alone if you need time alone. There are two rooms upstairs - blue and red. We had the red that was very big and has a Couch , bed, a/c, van, beanbag. The Open Air shower is in the aisle but every room has it’s own. The pictures provided Show the Open Space that is Used by all guests. You have like 3 chillout areas and can use the fridges. The Pool outside is cute and good for a Short swim. Sometimes You Even can See Monkeys there. The house is renovated but an old traditional spot („teriang house“). A lot of wood and cute details. In Front of the house You can find a Pier on which you can Enjoy a Beautiful sunset. Even residents Drive here by Scooter to See it. You also have some great seafood Restaurants around and a small supermarket. The neighbourhood is authentic and away from the cliché inner City touristic hotels - we appreciated that a lot. I stayed in the blue casa next to the main house. Great little kitchen so I could make pots of tea and chill some beers. Lovely pastries delivered by Patty in the morning. Amazing restaurant 5 minute walk away (take a torch at night) - the nonya curry was superb! The location is interesting but secluded - I think you need a car to explore Langkawi properly. Using Grab taxis also convenient and cheap. Close to the SkyCab/Walk which was fun. Also close to Telang Harbour for boats to/from Ko Lipe which I highly recommend. Rustic & charming heritage house with well equipped kitchen, common areas and very comfy beds. Felt like home immediately. Great fun to book whole house for a group of friends as we could enjoy the common areas together. Very close to nature – great place to get away from modern-day city life. Away from touristy areas for a more local experience. Rental car available for ease to move about. Great hosts who provided plenty of recommendations around the island (eg. food places, best bars, shops, best views etc.).
