Idaman Guest House — Hotel in Langkawi Island

In my experience: Scooters for rent are reasonably priced at 25 ringots for the day, you refill the tank for 3-4 ringots.

Room was very clean, well maintained, comfortable pillows with several different firmnesses.

Shower water had intermittent spontaneous heat.

WiFi was consistent and strong until night 3 wherein it stopped working entirely.

Over the course of 3nights/4 days the daily noise level was quite quiet in the middle of the day, however the mosque a couple hundred meters down the road begins the first prayer broadcast at 5:45am, motorbikes and cars go past the hotel room doors every 5 to 20 minutes on a coarse gravel stone road until about 9:30am or so, are intermittent in the day, then resume driving down the road in the evening until about midnight or so.

The owner is very, very kind, however was only present two out of the several times I wanted to talk with him over the duration of my stay about rentals and activities, and there is no support staff is on site, thus he must be phoned. ...Because he wasn't around, in the evening, the morning, or the following evening, I had rented the scooter an additional day without asking and at the end of the day I left the helmet from the scooter rental, with the cash for two days and key in...

We rented a bike from here, great service and friendly. Have us directions on where to go. Was helpful and let us only rent a bike for a few hours as we arrived late. Would definitely use their services again if we were in town and needed wheels. Would have stayed here too if we didn’t book our other...

Katil punya besar Ada fridge Ada tv Bilik bersih Senang nak deal dgn owner Vibe kampung2 gitu, jauh dari hiruk pikuk bandar.

Area ni area kampung banyak kedai makan yg murah2 berbanding tempat tumpuan pelancong. Tu yg best, tak kena ‘sembeli’.

Apa pun kena sewa kereta kalau nak duduk sini untuk ke kawasan2 lain. Boleh tanya owner guest house pun ada buat sewa kereta.

Utk yang sampai lewat malam atau tunggu next day flight sangat OK, dekat dgn airport.
