Kapal Terbang Guest House — Hotel in Langkawi Island

Me and my family including an infant booked room with them looking at the pics in the booking sites. This was the first worst booking experience ever in my life. I’m not lying and I’m writing this review for others not to get cheated with the pics they have shown. We booked there for 3 nights but I had to cancel the booking without staying for even a single night because of the following reasons: There is no similarity with the pics and the real room they provide. changed the room which we booked initially without any communication regarding this . Later providing us with another room giving us the reason that they gave us an upgrade. -The bed and furniture had dust and insect poops. Dust and big particles was falling from the AC. My baby was sneezing till the time we stayed in the room.Mosquitoes present . Some of the furniture were rusted. room was warm.the Ac was not making the room cool. the utensils provided in the kitchen was dirty. Loofah all torn( better not to provide than to give in this condition) the lady was willing to give the money back but her husband started shouting at us although we talked in a polite way. When we started to communicate our problems he was reluctant to listen and became abusive. I’m not lying we had to report them to the langkawi police who was kind enough to listen to us. -we lost our money and struggled to get another room with our baby at the last minute. Please look at some of the pictures which I could take at a short period of time. Plz don’t get cheated. No one deserve such a bad experience. and plz note 100 RM deposit...

We are staying here until July. It’s a tranquil place with the most beautiful garden which is well maintained, surrounded by nature, monkeys, cats, birds, butterflies, feels like a slice of heaven! Our accommodation is well equipped just a short walk to the main road were we have bought delicious meals from a food vendor and two supermarkets that sell everything we need. (larger supermarket called Billion is a short grab ride away). Grabs are cheap to get to Pantai Cenang beach and we have not struggled to get transport. The owner is attentive and helpful and offered us fruit from the beautiful garden and also let us have parcels delivered! Ideal if you want peace and quiet! Also the swimming pool is lovely and refreshing for a dip from the hot sun! Used the washing machine which was a godsend! Don’t want...

Location is near to the airport. However, it's quite a distance to get to the beach and the road leads to the house is rough and dark at night . The house was quite dusty when we checked-in that one of my family members joked about how we left the house cleaner than when we checked-in haha.

There were also some stray dogs in the area so have to be careful if you have kids. Owner didn't reply to one of my family member's texts who wanted to inquire about something.

Overall, for the price that we get, you can definitely stay in better guest houses/homestay with a pool in Langkawi as long as you book...
