We had a 2 day 1 night stay on Sunday- Mon. Concluded the whole trip it’s a fair trip , had moments where we were unpleasant, and some were somehow comforting.
Due to the overwhelming comment we seen here in google, we had many things prepared before our trip - just incase.( we made our booking from a 3rd party app , and they don’t allow cancellation after booking due to their so called lowest price, then only we saw all these bombastic comments)
Didn’t aspect much from the unwelcoming reception ( which most complaints from google reviews ) but I must say, the bell boys & parking security guards were extremely polite , helpful and caring. Definitely represented the resort well. They put effort to comfort the waiting customers rather then the staff who keeps triggering their customers ( I don’t kno what happened but having one counter open for checking in during this pick hour is questionable. Plus, it’s a open air concept which only FAN are provided, it’s not stuffing but extremely Hot, if they could provide something to cool down customers especially watching all these slow movements reception, it won’t triggered so much.
The place to our rooms indeed confusing and even the counter reception hesitate on her own answer , play by ears we asked the staff by the children pool and they gave specific and perfect guidance ,and they do provide cheerful and polite expressions that cheer our dragful moment we had during the reception. thankfully .
We were assigned to room 522 It was hiding by the corner and must say , good view & definitely a calm and relaxing waves sounded , it was breathtaking . Check in with the air conditioning already turned on, that’s a big thumbs up, as the weather is so hot outside , not much shade provided , there’s umbrella in our room. That helps us alot during the raining evenings . And yeah, after all the loading, there goes the most commented topic “ dirty bed sheets, smelly pillows, stained blankets, birds 💩 by the balcony, dusty edges, nasty bathtub , but thank Goodness! The floor is clean! We got our gadgets and we did some cleaning as so we could sleep/ dip/ stay peaceful. ( yes! I’m serious!please take note, the bathtub definitely needs some scrubbing, u’ll know why when u see those dirts came dripping down 🤢) The hotel room cleaning is indeed questionable, There are so many visible marks stain dust and cracks, and the rooms do seem aged . Indeed it doesn’t meet to the price that paid ( even after discount) somehow, it gave us some “ abandoned buildings “ or likely “ haunted “ feeling . The curtains is filled with mites and it’s tearing. And many more 🤔 it’s questionable, what’stheir housekeeping sop?
Spending 1 hours on “ room cleaning “ and everything went fine. Thankfully there’s no leaks/ broken pipes. Just that the HOT WATER wasn’t properly functioning.it’s either you freeze your self/ burn your self during ur shower.
Must say, the whole environment is peaceful, and there’s this direct asses to the sandy beach, its a private beach and there’s a security guarding by the pondok , pretty safe I suppose.equipped with a shower 🚿 There are also water by the walk way for feet washing. Do remember to bring swimming suits to use the pool , The whole resort is covered with amazing resting places where you can chill . Do bring your needs and you can start your rotting mode without even leaving the place. .
Breakfast buffet , Erm —— ok lah. Nothing much to share besides alot of house flies 🪰 and it went into the food that’s served there 。 you can skip those Waiters were sad looking, why ya?
Overall, I would say 6.0 over 10.0 There are great things about this place and some definitely concerning . A good place for couples & family vacations. For elderly ,there are some non avoided staircases that u could put in consideration.
lot’s of renovations is in progress, hopefully they will have a...
Read moreDear Avillion management.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Avillion Port dickson, specifically the Water Chalet. My family and I stayed for 2 nights 3 days. When we first entered the room, every thing was clean on surface level but when we settled in there were numerous unclean items.
Firstly, the housekeeping forgot to clean the fridge and the inside of the kettle had ants. When complained, instead of bringing a new one, the housekeeping offered to wash it with just water in the sink. How is that professional? If there has been sugary residue, it is best cleaned with sponge and soap, not rinsing with water, we would have done that ourselves.
Secondly, the toilet was super unclean, the bathtub was not scrubbed properly, the mirror had white spots everywhere, the side of the sink was dusty and the toilet bowl was yellow. Absolutely disappointed. The room entirely was dirty and dusty, the fridge was not wiped and cleaned, the drawers had dust and rust. We understand that it is a antique building but cleanliness is very easy. For a room that's costs more than 1000 for 2 nights should be spotless.
We requested for a change of room but this room has the same cleanliness issue. The day bed was dusty, toilet not so clean, they have recently painted the walls and the paint left stains everywhere and it has not been srubbed properly. Windows are dirty, with brown residue all over. More importantly there was loads of bird poop over the railings of the balcony, when we requested it be cleaned, they didn't bother to clean.
We aren't sure if this is a communication issue but the staff infront and the staff on- site don't agree on the same thing. We told the receptionist that we are requesting it be cleaned but the housekeeping did not clean.
Additionally, when we called and booked the hotel, the receptionists who picked up the call told us the package comes together with high tea, we were delighted but when we came to avillion, we were told it's sunset viewing and it's not focused so much on food. If we had known we would not have booked it as we were looking to have two meals in the hotel itself.
We spoke to the manager infront asking for an option B, as we don't want to attend avillion lounge sunset viewing but instead take the afternoon tea, like we were told when we booked it. He said he would get back to us that day but did not. When we asked him in the morning the next day, he very ignorantly said no other option. This is a huge miscommunication as when we booked it we were told its high tea.
Moreover, the extra blanket and pillows were dusty and dirty from being in the cupboard, there were also no room slippers nor a floor mat unless requested. The iron itself did not work, when requested to change, the staff just took another from the other room and left ours there. This shows how things work, instead of fixing, things are just replaced. Disappointing.
Overall, although we were excited, I am sad to say it was disappointing, the cleanliness of the place is 0/10 for the price it's worth. Will not be staying here again. We hope you train your staff to communicate well and accommodate to guests needs when there's a change.
Thank...
Read moreHave been a loyal customer for Avillion for many years but I am sad to see that the quality and the experience is getting worse or at least very inconsistent. I even hold my wedding there from the love of that place but yeah, it’s sad.
I have been there 2 weeks ago with water chalet and everything was good, apart from all the old issue like aged furniture, smelly pillow etc.
But last weekend with garden chalet was really changing my mind if I want to go back again.
Room 214 as a record if you are seeing this dear management team.
Upon arrival, check in process was super slow, which was not what I usually experienced, but that’s no issue, some hotels does that.
When I entered the room, there is a musty smell that’s not pleasant. Then we found out that there is no towel and no tissue given despite the room seems already made up, called the front desk to send them over but after hours of waiting, no one came, ended up we have to go to front desk and stress about the missing towel.
Fridge is extremely musty and not usable. Toilet is always wet due to water drips. Pillow are always smelly with human sweat and I have to spray so much pillow mist to cover that to have a decent sleep. No safety lock for the door. TV is old and have no program, and don’t have apps like YouTube unlike the one in water chalet. It’s like a second or third class room in Avillion.
What’s even worse is, despite we stayed for 2 days, there is no bed make up the next day - upon inquiry, they say we have to put up the make up card outside which is a new policy. Guys, if this is new, you definitely have to inform your customer because most hotels doesn’t do that, and you are not doing that either prior with my years of experience staying there. How can it be my issue not putting the notice?
And the funniest thing is the extremely disconnected communicate. Due to some personal reason, I have already checks out a day earlier in the evening, and despite checking out as normal, the front desk is calling me the next day to ask me when I will check out - it was a really surprising call and show how incompetent is their team at the moment.
Some of the staffs are nice, but overall my god, this is so upset to see the place slowly degrading despite the news of new China company investment or buy over.
If you are seeing this management, please deal with this with seriousness. I am sure some other reviews may be in good review, but they likely are the lucky ones staying in good one and only stay once, but I have been there at least 15+ times and I can see how things are improving but also how things...
