I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with OYO, and I'm compelled to share my frustration. This incident ranks as one of the worst in my travel history.
I made a reservation well in advance through the OYO app, completed my payment, and eagerly arrived at the hotel on the designated date, looking forward to a comfortable stay. However, to my utter shock, I was informed upon arrival that the hotel was fully booked and they could not accommodate me, despite my confirmed reservation.
What made matters worse was the response from the hotel staff. They were not only unhelpful but also shockingly rude. Instead of offering any assistance or alternative solutions, I was simply told to seek a refund from OYO.
The most frustrating part was dealing with OYO's customer service. My repeated attempts to contact them through the app went unanswered, leaving me feeling helpless and stranded. It's disheartening that a service meant to assist travelers was so unresponsive in a time of need.
This entire experience reflects incredibly poor management and a complete lack of customer service on OYO's part. It's deeply disappointing that a platform can take payments, confirm bookings, and then abandon their customers without any support or solutions when things go wrong.
My advice would be to exercise extreme caution when booking through OYO, as my experience has left me not only without accommodation but also with a significant sense of disappointment and frustration. The app, in particular, proved to be of little help when it mattered most.
I hope sharing this experience prevents others from going through similar ordeals in...
Read moreDO NOT book this hotel. I made a booking via Agoda, but when I arrived at 2PM — a standard check-in time — I was stopped in the middle of the stairs by a staff member who didn’t even greet us. No "hi", no "hello", nothing. She just said coldly, “Aircond in service”, and blocked us from going further. That’s it. No explanation, no manners.
When we tried to ask a simple question — just to check what time the room might be ready — she cut us off rudely and repeated, “Aircond service, cannot enter.” She didn’t even bother to listen properly. No alternative offered, no apology, no option to wait at the lobby or anything at all.
The first impression was horrible. The entrance smelled like strong incense, probably from nearby Hindu prayer activities — and while I respect different cultures, it was overwhelming and unpleasant for a hotel entrance. The stairs were dark, gloomy, full of junk, and had no lights or clear signs. It was honestly scary and unwelcoming.
This whole experience felt like a scam. I didn’t see any actual aircond servicing going on — no trucks, no technicians, nothing parked nearby. I regret not checking the Google reviews earlier. My biggest mistake was trusting the reviews on Agoda.
When the staff finally wanted to ask for my booking name, I was already too disappointed and disgusted to proceed. I walked away. I refused to deal with that kind of rude, careless service. This place does not deserve your...
Read moreDo not choose this hotel. The hotel is terrible, the people are cheaters. I booked and paid for my room via Agoda but when I arrived the counter staff informed that my room is sold out and I have to top up RM13 to get another room without sense of guilty. It seems like they are used to con travelers this way after I read the other comments. Yes I booked the hotel that time without reading the comments, if I did I wouldn't book it. On another hand, the room was terrible, pillow are smelly, the toilet piping were not in good condition, water heater not working, people talking through out the night and you hear it very clearly. The owner is Hindu Indian and they burn incense (due to the religion) inside the hotel and the smell you can imagine. I will never ever come back again, the most terrible experience I had ever in my...
