TLDR : Had a wonderful time with my family and friends. Highly recommended. A big thanks to Teja, Aima and all the staff at Tampik Valley who provided top notch service!
Tent : spacious and clean (only have 5 or 6 pax tent option though). Gets quite hot in mid day Kitchen (each tent has their own kitchen!) : decent size with dining area, well equipped cooking pots/pans, utensils and an induction cooker. Can also cook at the common area where they have high flame gas stove. Toilet : clean, good hot water supply
Was glamping there recently for 3d2n with total of 10 pax (5 adults + 5 kids) in 2 tents. Loved the nature and all the free activities provided (archery, ping pong, mahjong, gin rummy, assortment of board games, volleyball, football, frisbees, etc). There’s option for ATV by a 3rd party but it was a bit too pricey. There were more than enough activities to do for that 3d2n. Simple breakfast provided at common area with tea, coffee, milo. Water dispenser and free flow of ice provided at the common area! Beautiful (shared/1st come 1st serve) gazebos for BBQ. We did steamboat for dinner on day 1 and BBQ dinner on day 2. (BYO food). BBQ pit rental was fairly priced. They provided a big BBQ pit and the staff started the fire. Well equipped and many BBQ utensils available at the common area (skewers, thongs, etc). We drove over to their nearby other glamping sites, Nuang Hill (recently opened about 1-2 months ago) for a nice cold dip in the river. Surprisingly, given the location of Tampik Valley, there were not many mosquitos, big bugs or pesky monkeys/ or alike. We still did use some mosquito repellent, and I’m sure, upon request, they would have provided mosquito coils.
Overall, both adults and kids loved it!
P.S. We were also lucky there were not many other guests during our stay. Almost felt like the whole place was to ourselves! Suspect it might get noisy or a bit crowded if its fully booked.
Suggestion to management : Do up the pond. With cleaner looking water, the pond would really add beauty to...
Read moreWe stayed here last weekend, Saturday to Sunday. To be honest, the place itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential. However, the road to get there is quite challenging, better suited for MPVs or SUVs. For a one-night stay, the price is rather steep, considering each tent can only accommodate five people. I was also disappointed because we mistakenly booked Villa Tampik Janda Baik, thinking it had a river, based on the reviews. Turns out, the river is at the Nuang site, which wasn't clearly communicated—leading to a lack of transparency.
The most upsetting part of the experience was the neighbors we had at the tent next to us. They lacked basic courtesy, speaking loudly and blasting music. Then, more of their friends arrived in two cars late at night. It seems they booked two tents, but the noise they made was unbearable. They were loud, drunk, and swearing in their language. We notified the management, but unfortunately, all the staff on site were women, and they were unable to take any further action. They did speak to the guests, but unfortunately, the group completely ignored the warnings and continued with their disruptive behavior.
After 10 p.m., the group started a barbecue and continued drinking, getting louder. While they stopped the noise after midnight, they decided to start playing football outside. We could still hear them talking well past 4 a.m., thanks to how close the tents are to one another. By 9 a.m., the morning after, we were greeted with the sounds of them vomiting, obviously from their drunken antics the night before. Disgusted, we packed up early and checked out.
What was supposed to be a peaceful, healing retreat turned into a disaster thanks to these inconsiderate morons. For the price of RM1,000 a night, we could have stayed at a five-star hotel. This was, without a doubt, one of the most unpleasant...
