Enjoyable Stay Marred by Delayed Check-In Experience

I recently had the pleasure of staying at TimurBay, and overall, my experience was quite positive. The seafront residence boasted stunning views, excellent amenities, and attentive staff members who were always on hand to assist. However, my stay was somewhat marred by a significant hiccup during the check-in process.

Upon arrival at TimurBay, I was eager to settle into my room and begin enjoying all that the seafront residence had to offer. Unfortunately, despite the advertised check-in time of 3 pm, I found myself waiting for an extended period as my room was not yet ready. It wasn't until 4:30 pm that I was finally provided with the room key and able to access my accommodation.

The delay in check-in was disappointing, as it meant that I had to spend more time than anticipated waiting around in the lobby rather than relaxing and exploring the residence. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes lead to delays, I had hoped for better communication from the staff regarding the status of my room.

That being said, once I was able to check in and settle into my room, the rest of my stay at TimurBay was delightful. The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed, offering beautiful views of the surrounding area. The amenities provided by the resort were top-notch, and I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and other recreational facilities.

Despite the initial setback with the delayed check-in, I would still recommend TimurBay to others. With its picturesque location, the seafront residence has a lot to offer to guests seeking a relaxing getaway. I simply hope that in the future, the check-in process can be improved to ensure that all guests can start their stay without unnecessary delays.

The Thumbs Up

Pools and Beach This place has 4 pools if I'm not mistaken, and it already covered for adults and kids. And for the beach, it is easy to access. The beach is clean, and have some additional activities like ATV and horse riding. I didn't go to the pool at all, because the beach is fantastic. They also have toilets and showers for you to clean up before return to your room.

Location I would say, I'm really grateful for choosing this location. It is located strategically in the middle. It's near to Kuantan if you want to explore the city's hipster's vibe. And it's not that far to go up to Cherating to see more beaches. And lots of nearby attractions too. *You have to go to Natural Batik Village and color your own batik.

The room is comfortable. It has 2in1 washing machine + dryer, which makes cleaning easier. It also has microwave too. Everything meets the expectations.

Check-in process is smooth. They even provide step-by-step instructions thru whatsapp to help makes everything easier.

There is some funny smell inside the small bedroom. I'm not sure what it is.

There is additional charge if you want to early check in (after 12pm, before 3pm). Understand that it is something that is already mentioned inside the booking details. But I believe this information need to be considered by the visitors.

My experience at Timurbay by Seascape is fantastic. From the balcony of the room, you get a beautiful view of the sea. At 13th floor, it's pretty peaceful up there, far from the noisy crow Oh and the swimming pool was crowded the two days I was there. I took a short dip as it was not really a relaxing experience. There were people swimming in cotton tshirts, heavy long pants. And I don't see anyone rinsing themselves before going in the pool after their visit to the beach. In my opinion, the property should be stricter ie only allow jersey type material if guests don't have proper swimwear. The location is great in my opinion. The beach is nice and not too crowded. There's a cozy cafe at the beach just outside Timurbay gate. They serve pretty good iced kopi kampung and nasi lemak daun pisang. The room is tastefully furnished and very clean. For your convenience, it even has a washing machine, microwave and fridge. No detergent provided so please bring your own. Maybe it's a good idea for Seascape to provide the correct type detergent just so that the washing machine doesn't break down when the wrong type of detergent is used. And if I have to suggest something, it would be a good idea if Seascape could prepare a set of broom and spade. This is useful especially after a trip to the beach.
