Bukit Merah Laketown Resort — Hotel in Perak

Bought MATTA fair deal at PWTC last week and the sales personnel was able to help book a date for me on the spot. Thank you Cik Nad for your excellent service! We went there last Thursday during school holiday.

MATTA deal: RM 178 Deluxe room 1 queen 1 single bed with bathtub; comes with breakfast for 2 pax & 2 pax water theme park admission. Added on 2 kids water theme park admission ticket at RM 20 each.

The room condition was adequate. Our room was on the third floor. There's a lift to access to upper floors. Swimming pool is located next to the block of registration counter. What I was really surprise was the prices of food at their restaurant and kiosk/cafe inside the theme park. Very affordable and quite tasty! Nasi putih ayam masak kicap + air sirap ais only RM 10! Memang tak dapat lah that price dekat other theme parks I ever went before! The drinks at cafe komer sells in HUGE tapau containers! We bought teh ais cincau and iced Milo for RM 6 each only. Sedap + kawww pulak tu!

Water theme park: there are ample free seating areas everywhere. You can also rent cabanas for RM 90 (3 hours) without aircond and RM 150 (3 hours) air-conditioned. There is a baby room with fan complete with hot water, a baby crib, nursing station and an area for younger toddlers to play (slide and small house) when mothers are nursing their babies. Only MOTHERS and CHILDREN allowed in the area. FATHERS can wait outside ya so many seating areas near the baby room.

Changing room, toilets and lockers for rent right next to tube and cabanas rental. A lot of changing rooms with cold showers and long seating area.

Rides requiring tubes: we rent a double- tube. A bit disappointed because my 110 cm daughter couldn't ride all the adult slide rides because min height is 120 cm. All rides were open but to me the most scary was the U-shaped single tube ride! It was a very narrow drop!

WANT TO DO MORE AT BMLR? Do visit the orangutan island! There's also a fish spa, short cruise, fishing and beautiful instagrammable shots around the lake.

All in all my family and I had such a great time at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort. Definitely recommended for...

We went for company fun day-trip. BML isn't a bad idea at all! We bought combo access ticket - first to the petting zoo and later to the water themepark.

The zoo - some parts were closed due to maintenance. But we had a very enjoyable time spent together with team. Having chances to bagi makan kambing, ayam tiba-tiba terbang crossed us atas kepala and everyone lari terkejut, the little sneaky snake, the cats, the rabbits... the fish, the tortoise.. the rusa... ehh everything was great-lah!

The food - they have afew eateries - the cafe attached to hotel/ event halls, the foodcourt which food prices are much cheaper than all other waterparks in Malaysia (every of us says this!) .. and the other one inside with mostly pre-packed food options (pay by cash only). Tastes are good as well! Worth the pay, accordingly.

The waterpark - we had enjoyable experience having fun with all the slides, the pool, the kids-adults areas. The queue wasn't too long, as we were there on weekday.

The cabana hut - on hourly rental basis. With a/c and with fans. Rates are acceptable. Perfect for families with kids/ elders to rest selesa.

The shower room, the surau, the locker, the shops also selling stuffs at reasonable rates and wayyy much cheaper than other themeparks.

If you wish to bring in family, try to make it on weekday. The opened at 11am till 5pm (cutoff time)

Even time given is shorter, but with less people, less crowd, you'll enjoy the moments better!

RUIN OUR HOLIDAY!

We have the most bad experience in here.

We came around last month on January. 4 slide are close. And they just only tell us that only 1 are close before we purchase the tickets. Staff are lazy and rude. The announcement of park closing time was to short and only about 2 or 3 times. We was told the park close at 6. Around 5.00 we went to the toilet to shower and everything. The staff call us from outside the shower to be fast when i was inside the toilet. Then she came again and say, (saya bagi awak 5 minit je lagi) how dare..? i just started to shower actually. Im quickly go outside and check what time and and its only 5.15 like that i was shock and think maybe they close 5.30. We quickly get ready and go out from the toilet area and notice there no more staff outside? 😲😲😲 this is a waterpark and no more staff except us inside the park. Imagine those with small children. We walk outside till the ticketing counter and found out there also no staff there. Its really scary. I have to call the hotel to ask for an explanation. They just say sorry. Im dont recommend this place to others. Maybe wait until they change management or something. Its NOT SAFE AND STAFF ARE RUDE! not all but i can count only 1 or 2 was good enough. The rest RIP. The park more like a ghost park. I hope the management will take not and do something. This place is beautiful and can attract more tourist but to bad the...
