Kimal Hotel Kamunting — Hotel in Perak

I had to spend a week (in the course of multiple visits) due to work commitment in Kamunting. Since it is quite a small town, everything is within close distance to one another. So when you try to browse through hotels in the area, all available hotels poped up, and quite often people will go for the usual option. During the time of making my choice of stay in Kamunting, i was quite adamant that I wanted something at reasonable price but still gave me at least a nice place to rest my head after long working hours. So, somehow Kimal Hotel’s description kinda fit the requirements. So I went ahead. For a simple hotel in a small town, I think they did a terrific job of making sure guests felt at ease during their stay. Simple and small room but the one I stayed in particular is well kept. Plus, I spent most of the day working and only came back to sleep anyway. So I was ok with what have been provided in the room. The space was a bit tight to perform Muslim prayer but still doable. There’s no ironing facilities provided in the room but you can share with other guests and do the ironing in the hallway. Totally ok, considering. And for a small hotel in Kamunting, I must say, the staff were well trained by the boss. The hotel is also a walking distance to Aeon mall if you need anything to stock up. We stayed in this small local hotel for a few days while in the area. They have a very friendly and helpful front desk staff - they helped us with transport in the area (Grab app - a must have on your phone). The room was clean, but a bit stuffy before AC was turned on to cool it down and get some fresh air in the room. There was no window in the room rented (as written on website), but the nicely renovated bathroom had a small window. The strange part of the bathroom was there was no shower stall - just open large bathroom. Everything was very clean, the floor just got wet for the next person (toilet/sink area). The room was clean, had ample space to perform the prayer and provide the guest with Spritzer mineral water (the brand of the mineral water is on the pricier side compared to others) which is good. The receptionist was professional, using great tone of voice and the hospitality was excellent.

The bathroom walls are glass; frosted glass so we can still see the shadow of people using it (things to consider as it is considered as close proximity -- if you are with friends etc) but maybe the other rooms have different layout.
