Sri Malim Hotel (Tanjung Malim) — Hotel in Perak

i got room num 102 which is next to the reception table. basically i could hear whatever they speak clearly and the foot steps too. i am a partime student at upsi. so my class and almost all the students' class end at 11pm. they should keep everything low. but it was quite noisy since the afternoon till 3am(the time i am writing this review now) i made a phone call the to reception uncle to tell him to turn down/low down his tv's volume out there. now i am damn tired and sleepy but couldnt sleep because the uncle is talking to someone out there. i could listen to them clearly. other than that, everyone is saying it is clean and hygienic. yes it is but not the blanket, pillow cases and the bed sheet. obviously can smell it is used and havent wash yet. we are not stupid to not even know that. i paid rm5 for a extra blanket in that condition. i ended up not using it. i wanted to ask why it is like that ans return the blanket but i was unable to go out because i changed my clothes already then. i want to tell them everything as we have the right to complain and we have paid for...

It's a basic motel I shall say. Fair for a short visit (to rest & get cleaned up). Located just opposite the entrance to small a river (near Teratak Riverview) where people always go especially during weekends.||Need to improve:|1) Noisy during day & night. Kids shouting & adults talking. I assume they're other guests. But the receptionist only acknowledged my complaint as "Oh, really?" and did nothing. Not even apologize.|2) Room was knocked 3 times to get our car removed (road construction) when my husband were out with our car before the first knock. They should've kept guests' vehicle license plate number recorded during check-in.|3) We need to prepare enough change as they don't have small change.|4) Blanket was smaller than the bed size (queen bed). They should provide spare for each room.|5) Bed's wheels lock were not functioning. Price was different from the website i searched. Initially it was RM66 per night for 1 room, and just 1 room left at that time. It mentioned in the website to call directly the hotel for a cheaper price. Once i called, the lady told me price was RM 70++, then she said she will text me the final price including SST in whatsapp. Turns out to be RM86 per night for 1 room. I just paid the final price bcs i need 2 rooms (which not available in the website). I dont have other choice, most hotels already fully booked.

Other things are customer must be prepared for cocroaches under the bed. In my room got more than 5 baby cocroaches. Definitely not happy with this.

As for the services, the frontdesk young lady quite rude to me. She didn't make eye contact with customer, talked very loud and rudely to me (malay). But when she talked to customer after me, she was smiling and laughing and of course suddenly became very soft spoken (they are both Indian). The other frontdesk lady a bit older, she was good, smiled and talked softly to customer.
