Pro: Cheap (you get what you pay for). Located across the street from an okay beach and some food stalls. Parking is right in front of the unit. The front porch has two chairs and small table with an okay view across the street to the beach. The check-in was pleasant and when requested another sheet for the bed and an additional towel were provided. Room 1 & 2 are duplex, 1 is closest to the road with the 'better view'. Rooms 3 & 4 are duplex and further from the road (so 4 would be the quietest as far as road noise goes). The sheets were clean, we found the bed to be comfortable and the AC worked well. A kettle, 2 mugs and tea are provided.||||Con: Other than the toilet bowl and the floor the bathroom fixtures, walls, doors and mirror were dirty. One pair of filthy shower slippers were provided. The bathroom is 'wet' so when you shower it all gets wet. The only cleaning appears to be with a water hose, no scrubbing of the fixtures, walls or doors. The sink and toilet (other than the bowl) were grimy and the walls and door are grimy with mold spots. Room not very clean with dirty window sills. Insects in room. Not well furnished. No hangers, toiletries. No top sheet on bed. Only 2 bath towels. No house keeping. The front porch is charming but nothing else. Units are duplex and the walls are super thin so you can hear everything your neighbours are saying and doing... We went to Giant and bought bug spray to spray the room before sleep, wet ones to wipe down the bathroom fixtures, mirror and parts of the walls and our own bathroom slippers. Located beside a...

Good: -Location is just across the beach -Plenty of eateries nearby -Checking in was hassle free. -Spacious room -Comfortable bed -Room and bedspread reasonably clean, reminds me of old style traditional malay house -Body soap and clean towel provided. -Aircond works fine

Bad: -TV signal was not very good. -Would be good if a fan is provided, personally don't really like switching on aircond at night.

Tips:- Using google maps/waze will not bring you to the correct place. If you are driving next to the beach then you will find the chalet just beside the road. If not, then you are not at the right location. The place is located quite far from the city. Around 30mins. So if you want to commute back and forth is a bit of a hassle.

**Updated with reply to the owner's response:- A) Our aircond has 3 modes for the customer to choose. 1.Cool air 2.Fan mode 3.Mistmode *My reply:- Nice info for the guest :) Would still prefer an actual fan, but again it is just my personal preference.

The property has 4 Beach Chalets, which were clean and well maintained. The beach isn't great but it's cool to sit on the porch at night and hear the waves. There is a nice yard, where we played football a lot. The draw for this property is the location and the value. The location is amazing for access to local restaurants, and the value is spectacular.
