Sharing about the restaurant at Debloc. Wow, so BAD! The worst dinner here over the 4 days.

A hustler bald waiter who was the only one who could speak decent English firstly said we would have to wait 1.5h before he could take our order for dinner. 7.30pm - so I said we can only order at 9pm? He looks at his watch and says, “no, maybe 8.30pm” ok….. fine. Kitchen boss comes out and said can take order, so we order. Baldy kept saying everything is out of stock, and also got a bad attitude. Ordered salted egg squid, cereal prawn, Xiao Bai cai (what he claims to be Chinese cabbage and pointed at the Xiao Bai cai item on the menu) and Thai style fish. We asked for steam fish and he said not available also. We should have figured that if you didn’t have whole fish, you wouldn’t be able to give us any other style either. So the fish came out cut in pieces alr and fried (obviously taking from their “fillet” menu and jacking up the price). Their version of salted egg is also with cereal, so expect DRY and SWEET with more cereal taste and barely any salted egg taste. Couldn’t be more disappointed with this meal. Expected some dished to have some kind of sauce, and in the end, every dish was dry. Furthermore, asked them for sambal chilli - DONT HAVE. Asked them for chilli padi - ALSO DONT HAVE.

If you really want to eat here, just eat the stuff that’s one dish with one rice that’s a set already. The ala carte is...

Came here for dive, though I didn't use their associated dive center.

Compound: Upon approaching the container site, there were monkeys that potentially will attack. So, please do keep young kids close to you. The staff is around most of the time, and will be there to chase them away and clear the rubbish bins. Apart from the morning incident one day 1, my 3D2N stay was quite peaceful from monkeys, so all good.

Room: The room is relatively clean and organized. Though I do have to clean some parts of the wall while I hang my clothes and towels. Hence, the 4/5 stars for the room.

Breakfast: wasn't a wide range but was doable. Ps. This is a island accomodations, and not a high end resort. So do manage your standards.

The overall service was alright. Had a bit of issue with my ferry tickets and the ferry center, in which they offered to assist with and lend me their phone to connect to the ferry center. Thanks to the...

Highly recommend their great one-stop services provided, as well as very responsive in assisting us throughout the trip from start to end. Firstly, our crew Ah Ming is very helpful and friendly in assisting us throughout the days we were in Tioman Island, as well as always recommend us those attractive places and activities as that was our first visit. Secondly, the food is totally out of our expectation, as usually we found the foods in package that provided by hotel are just ordinary and less in variety, however the meals prepared for each section are well-prepared yet very good tasted. Overally, we are really satisfied and appreciated their all services provided and definitely will choose them again while we are going to visit Tioman...

Had a great stay at paya de bloc. The hosts were all very friendly. They helped to transport our bags from and to the ferry. The snorkeling was an enjoyable experience as well. They took the time to help us record and edit a small montage. Our guide Yenni took the time to point out the different sea creatures like sea turtles and pufferfish etc. She also took the time to take care of the few of us who were not as confident in ghe water by offering to let us latch onto a life ring that she can pull, as a guide. Tje whole experience felt very personalised and we were grateful for the care. The food provided also tasted great and was just nice in portion sizes. The rooms were clean and quite well maintained in general. Will definitely be back!
