Salang Pusaka Resort — Hotel in Tioman

Firstly I would like to thank the owner and Donn for accommodating and helping us to get us a room in a very unfavorable circumstances as it was a very peak weekend. We are very grateful that they are able to help. I actually had booked with another property using Booking.com but was disappointed where when we reached the property they said it was fully booked. How can this happen when I have already received a booking confirmation? But nevertheless the people at Salang Pusaka had been very helpful.||||Anyways lets talk more of the property. My overall experience was really great! We got the quad room. The room is very specious and the toilet is clean. The bed is big and the pillow is very comfortable. The aircond is super cold at night time. Not much complain with the price you pay it is good enough. A good location if your planning for a diving trip. There is 2 dive...

We embarked to Tioman Island as part of four days of diving in Salang Bay. Our diving instructor booked this accommodation for us and we were very happy with it until we met the staff. They were very distracted when we arrived, there was no warm welcome and they seemed to be unhappy to even have guests (finding anyone to ask a question or request something was near impossible). There is a fridge in the room but this was seen as the 'superior' room. We stayed for four nights and the rooms were never cleaned nor were we given toilet paper until we asked several times. If it had only been two nights, we would have been fine with this but it was four nights and we also paid a lot in comparison to other areas of Malaysia. Unfortunately Tioman Island is an expensive place. Thankfully, the diving was incredible and we did not have to spend much time...

Calm, peaceful, but stagnant water from drain at the bridge bring the bad smell and also, I'm sure the chalet can be improve as the owner gain profit, must be improve from its door condition (can't lock), towels (buy new towels please), carpet, and poster about visit Malaysia from past years should be take off. This chalet can be improve from no star to 3 stars...at least, but overall... The chalet is ok and the staff gave us a good service and warm. Umm.. no need to be 5 stars chalet or change price but just need to make the chalet look like a proper chalet for tourist and not like a normal rental house/home stay, customer first!

Note: All price of food and stuff at convenient stores around Tioman is pretty expensive, bring cash as I didn't see any ATM...
