Turtle Maldives — Hotel in South Ari Atoll

We had the most incredible holiday at Turtle Maldives! From the very start, Niyaz and Ismail made planning and booking everything an absolute breeze. Their communication on WhatsApp was always prompt, clear, and helpful, which made us feel confident and cared for even before we arrived.

The moment we got there, we were delighted to find that the rooms were exactly as we’d hoped—spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. From then on, we were in the best hands. Azim and Riyaz welcomed us so warmly and took such fantastic care of us throughout our stay. There was free tea and coffee and a kettle with a cute sit out on the top floor as well.

It was also really safe. We never bothered locking our rooms, and left phones and wallets passports etc in the room or occasionally at the restaurant, while we spent hours on the beach, with absolutely no issues.

The location is great - 4 to 5 minute walk to the pier, 1 minute to sting ray feeding point, and 2 to 3 minutes to bikini beach. There's two little grocery stores right around the corner (with 150 meters of Turtle)

We were a big group—12 of us including kids—and Azim managed everything with such good cheer and grace. He went above and beyond to meet every request, and the children absolutely adored him!

The Turtle restaurant quickly became our favorite hangout spot, and the staff made us feel completely at home, no matter how often we were there. Breakfast was delicious, as was every meal we had there, cheerfully prepared by Dinesh. They also gave us enough water in the rooms and at breakfast that we never had to buy water separately.

Snorkeling gear was provided free of charge, which made exploring the beautiful waters even easier and more enjoyable.

On our last evening, they surprised us with a magical beachside dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The setting was stunning, the food was delicious—and to our surprise, we found out the next day that it was entirely complimentary. Such a generous and thoughtful gesture that we’ll never forget.

We’re so grateful for the warmth, hospitality, and care we received from every member of the Turtle Maldives team. We’re already dreaming of our next visit and will be recommending this gem to all...

We have just returned from a week's stay at the Turtle Maldives guest house on Omadhoo and can definitely recommend this accommodation. Two guys were waiting for us at the port, took our suitcases, accompanied us to the guest house and then showed us all the important places around the island. They took excellent care of us throughout our stay and were always nearby and available at any time. We stayed on the top floor in two deluxe rooms, which were spacious, clean and our towels were changed every day. We also had free beach towels, so we didn't use the ones from the house at all. Water was also available in the rooms for free and there was always a supply of additional water available on the terrace to replenish, which we really appreciated. The beach bag that we had in the room was also very useful. We had to chase the wifi signal around the guesthouse for a bit, but if you find the right place, for example in one of the rooms by the dressing table, it's pretty good 🙂 You have to go to their restaurant next door for breakfast, but that wasn't a problem because it's only 20 steps away. The breakfasts were pretty much the same every day, but you'll eat good and have a good time. The dinners were pretty repetitive, too, but their two chefs cooked perfectly, so it didn't matter at all and we enjoyed ourselves every evening. You can choose either half board like us or choose something from the menu every evening. You can also go there for lunch. As part of our stay, we also booked a wedding ceremony, thanks to which we had a truly above-standard experience from our stay. The two guys who picked us up upon arrival organized everything willingly and well, and their chefs even cooked us dinner after the ceremony, which we enjoyed right on the beach, which was an amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The crowning glory of it all was the cake personally baked by the owner's family. And it was surprisingly very tasty and quite similar to ours in Europe. Thank you very much Turtle...

We are incredibly grateful to the staff and owner of Turtle Maldives for our impeccable vacation!

First and foremost, the hospitality and service are simply the best. Each and every person at the guesthouse was nice, friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with refreshing drinks and wet towels upon arrival, the room was spacious, clean and chilly, we didn’t have to wait for a check-in and we were even allowed to check out at about 1pm free of charge. What we especially loved is that you don’t see many people around but the staff members are always there when you need anything.

Secondly, finger-licking good local food and the generous portions. We were happy to try local dishes and were never hungry! Our favorites are custard pudding, parata, mash uni, huni roshi. We highly recommend full board at Turtle Maldives.

Last but not least, communication. Whenever you want something - just say that, the staff members are always within the arm’s reach. We didn’t need cleaning every day, so we said about that. We dived a lot so we preferred breakfasts and lunches at different time every day and that need was also met. Before you arrive you can arrange a speedboat through the guesthouse via social media or email.

To sum up, not only do I recommend Turtle Maldives, but also will be glad to come back. These people know how to make your stay truly...
