Thoddoo is a big local agricultural island, where locals concentrate everything in the middle of the island, which makes the island seem like a jungle from the outside. ||||Shoreline Grand is a new guesthouse located exactly in the heart of the island, in newer neighborhood, that consists mostly of the guesthouses and restaurants.||Its location from both guest beaches is about the same - 10 min walk, 5 min bicycle. It is a family owned and ran business, where you can see, that people working there really care. Due to its location of the main street it is extremely quiet and you won't be disturbed in the morning, if you like to sleep a little bit longer. Guesthouse has a nice courtyard, where every room has its porch, with table and chairs. The room is pretty spacious, with a large bed, that is quite comfortable. Bathroom is well designed and they even have heaters for the water, in case you'd like a hot shower, which is not that common. Not to forget, international plugs are really nice addition. The room is cleaned daily and you get fresh new amenities all the time. Breakfast were served flexibly, mostly consisting of the local Maldivian food, which you will grow to love, as they really know they way around the kitchen. Almost every breakfast, we also had some local products, such as papaya, watermelons and so on. Truth to be told, they tasted nothing short of amazing. The staff was really friendly and helpful in every way possible and I would like to thank Adam for making our stay just perfect. ||||Price of the room is super reasonable and you get much more compared to some other guesthouses on the island. They will also arrange your transport from the airport to the island and back. You can also choose from the wide variety of trips and tours, they offer and basically get the same treatment as in the resort for a fraction of the cost. Any issue or request you might have, you can be sure, that they will do their best to help you. ||||If you truly want to experience real unfiltered Maldives, then ditch your ideas about going to a resort and stay...

Read moreThis family run Guesthouse was one of the nicest we stayed in during our 2 month 5 island visit. It's newly built and the rooms were spotless with a very homey feel. Room had a very nice and large bathroom. There was a small fridge freezer available along with a TV. Right outside our door was a small table where we ate breakfast daily. There is a nice garden right outside the rooms. ||||The staff were very helpful and attended to our every need. There was a facility to have our clothes washed and dried. There were also several bikes available for the guests to use which we found very helpful as it is a big Island||||As for location, it is situated right in the middle of the island so easy to get to either tourist best. There were also some nice restaurants close by. ||||We opted for a barbecue here on one of the days we stayed and it was by far the most tasty and flavourful barbecue fish we had. We had also ordered a barbecue at a restaurant nearby but that was not as tasty as this one. The chef is really talented! ||||Breakfast was included in our stay. It was also very delicious and we would often be surprised by something different and tasty! The local papaya was by far the best we ever had.||||WiFi was one of the best in Maldives, although the standard is not very high in Maldives ||||I would definitely recommend this Guesthouse if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay. ||||We will definitely be coming back to this Guesthouse if we ever visit Thoddoo again!||||Thank you Moosa, Mrs Moosa, Nizaah...
