Fine BBQ Hut — Restaurant in Thoddoo

The fish here is truly delightful. The photo shows a reef fish, medium size, served with one side dish and a papaya fresh juice. If you want a second side dish, you need to order it separately, which costs 70 rufiyaa (without the juice). This fish is just right for two people. The only thing that we didn't like was when we placed our order, the cafe owner fried the fish and said it was a size M, and we would receive the same. Then the owner's wife appeared and said that this fish was a size L, and that was the only size they had available that day. However, while we were having dinner, the staff brought a fish to the neighboring guests that was one and a half times larger. The owner brought us the bill, and the price was for a size M fish. Had a lunch here: Both fish and chicken soups were big , probably tasty, but unfortunately were too salty. (Actually we cannot finish them…) Fish (medium size) was in our opinion a bit dry and took about 65 minutes to cook. Juice was NOT diluted, which is great The coffee unfortunately was not available

Stuff is friendly. Overall, not the best, but definitely not the worst place on the island.

Advice to the owner: Ask about raw/medium/well done level of fish Pay attention to salt, this can be critical Try to speed up the delivery or at least tell in advance how much time it takes Buy a baby chair if not done yet 🙂
