STAY well clear of this out of date so called 4 star paradise bay resort hotel it's NOT even worth Any stars the reception are absolutely rude and very dismissive we booked a all inclusive holiday and when I went to get a drink the barman asked for my all inclusive white band when I went to reception and asked for our bands to be told NO you are full board only so I got my holiday paperwork which clearly states all inclusive they then said they don't provide all inclusive so why did the barman ask for my all inclusive bands?? SCAM and a clear lie as waiting in the lobby for my travel agent to phone the travel company to whom they phone the hotel alot of time sitting inside and the relaxing by the pool at one point I asked reception for a glass of water to be told very sternly to go to the bar and PAY. My wife got stung by a hornet/ bee thing i took out the sting as I asked the reception for 1st aid my wife was with Alberto the so called hotel customers care agent who sarcastic said to my wife Oh by your noise I thought you were stung by a jellyfish they have no one who has even the basic 1st aid training god help if you or your children get injured the hotel refused to give us the all inclusive holiday that we paid for instead they said if we pay 630e they would upgrade us to all inclusive (of which they don't provide) when they saw me taking to a Polish family and taking photos of their white all inclusive bands. The hotel then said Oh yes we remember now that we are doing a trail for Polish only. Come breakfast we got chatting to French German Italian English family's who were all inclusive so yet another SCAM LIE the hotel itself is way out dated and very very tired bath/shower tap is NONE thermostat so means when you shower it's a case of little bit hot little bit cold ect ect and if at about 6/7 you wash or shower brown bottom of the tank water comes out. We got two bottles of water in our fridge that was all throughout our stay. The three swimming pools are full of salt horrible taste and I found very hard to swim down. Food very very basic breakfast crap the worst all inclusive food we have ever had and we are well traveled. Paradise bay resort hotel is stuck at the hell end of nowhere if you want to go anywhere it's a bus wait or cab of which the cabs doesn't like to pick up as hotel so far for them to drive to. 6e to 8e for cheap crap beer depending who you get very slowly served by same price for what they call prosecco which is sparkling white wine from Spain it's not even from Italy my wife was not impressed. I was told by other holiday couples and families that there so called BBQ night is nothing more than a rip off as you pay extra for that. Hotel manager angerla was a cold heat and a disgrace openly snogging some guy by the beach around the reastrant after dinner and a few glasses of drink. How on God's earth did this paradise bay resort hotel get a 4 star rating it's NOT worth 1. Take heed when I say stay away. We met so so many who had made complaints one younger couple booked half board but only got bed and breakfast plus they as many had nightmare issues with the air conditioning which is so so so old tired even broken one couple had to stay in there room all morning and into lunch time to wait for air conditioning man to fix it WHY?? The hotel doesn't care about you or that you even enjoyed your holiday all they are concerned about is how much they can get you to spend. The hotel shop Holly crap expensive. You have to buy basic all inclusive normal other proper hotel that you get. Like a swim glasses and snorkel. The hotel has NO bureau de change or in house ATM machine. I got sent outside because I did not have cash for a beach towel but instead of reception being any way nice and telling me to go to the (hundred year old that don't work and they know it hasn't worked forever) the lobby to to shop area where broken ATM is just outside NO reception sent me out of front in the blistering heat walk all around to the broken ATM. When I went back to reception and said atm not working they said ok you go outside get a bus to town Hey Wow I said you want me to get 20e for two towels I said i had £20 which at that time with exchange comes to more than 20e they could have taken that as at end of your dreadful pitterfull stay they give you the cash back as they don't even take debit/credit card for towels as I kicked up a stink they eventually let me use my card. The whole holiday stay was a fight or argument to get any basic was the was hotel experience that my wife and I have ever had. Please Alberto do not even insult or give us any more stress that the hotel where you work respond. As I know you spend most of your day writing sarcastic replies to all customer complaints. My Last Warning Don't STAY at the paradise bay resort hotel unless you're a...

Mixed Experience – Not Quite All-Inclusive

We recently stayed at this hotel and had quite a mixed experience. There were a few highlights, but also some surprising downsides that future guests should be aware of.

First, upon arrival, we had to pay €3.50 per adult for a government tax. Not a big deal, but it would’ve been nice to know in advance. Our family was also split between two rooms on opposite sides of the hotel – one had a beautiful view of the pool and sea, but unfortunately it was also right next to some pipes with an unpleasant smell. The other room had a roof view. Being placed so far apart was unexpected and not ideal.

After a long 12-hour journey, I realized I had forgotten toothbrushes and toothpaste. Naturally, I thought the hotel might provide them or have a backup, but I was told to either wait until the shop opened the next morning or take a bus to town. That was pretty disappointing. They also don’t provide conditioner, and the shower was mounted so low that at 172 cm I had to bend down just to wash my hair – quite uncomfortable.

The hotel shop charges €4.50–€5 for a toothbrush, but we ended up taking a quick trip to the nearest city. For €25 (including transport for 5 people), we bought toothbrushes for €1.50 each, snacks, tried new fruit, and even visited a free art gallery – so in the end it turned into a lovely little adventure.

Now for the all-inclusive aspect – unfortunately, it really didn’t feel all-inclusive. The snack bar offered only 5 options: croissants, chocolate cake, tuna pie, meat pie, and sandwiches. The croissants weren’t tasty, the pies didn’t look appetizing, and while the cake looked nice, it was too big to be considered a snack. So basically, sandwiches were the only semi-decent option, but even those felt more like meals. The only real snack was the ice cream scoop – which became a hit with the kids.

Drinks were also very limited. Many items, including cocktails, weren’t included. I tried ordering cocktail ingredients separately to mix myself, and thankfully one kind bartender offered to mix it for me – which I appreciated. In general, the staff were polite and kind, but it seemed like they weren’t very clear about what "all-inclusive" means. My kids kept asking why they couldn’t have their usual snacks like fruit or crisps, and I honestly felt more like a budget guest than an all-inclusive one. Even basic snacks ran out by 6pm, and at one point even the crisps were gone.

Breakfast options were quite repetitive – every morning there were eggs, sausages, and beans, along with some salad, cereal, and a few pastries. It wasn’t terrible, but there wasn’t much variety, and after a few days it felt very limited.

Want pool towels? That’ll be €10 cash deposit per towel. No cash? You’ll have to use the ATM outside, which charged me €7 to withdraw €50 – just a heads-up!

Gym facilities were available at the hotel, but unfortunately, they were in poor condition. Out of four bikes, none were working. Both of the skiing machines were broken, and one piece of gym equipment was literally broken into pieces (I’ve attached a photo). Of the three treadmills, one was out of order, and while there were some weights and two yoga mats, it was disappointing to find that most of the equipment was unusable.

Another surprising moment: before a day trip, I asked to fill our water bottles for the kids since the shops and bars were still closed. I was told it’s against hotel policy – even if I was willing to pay – and they wouldn’t allow us to take even water from the breakfast area. That felt unnecessarily strict and really disappointing.

The Good? The views are nice, the area is beautiful, and some staff members were genuinely kind. But overall, I left feeling like I didn’t get what I paid for. If you’re used to true all-inclusive holidays, just be prepared – this one might fall short of...

Came here as part of an easyjet package holiday, which I'd say ended up being quite a good deal. Can't speak for their normal prices, so take that in mind. The hotel itself looks very smart (the bits I saw), but there were some oddities in the room (workmans marks, shoddy workmanship) and you could tell the furniture was old and/or cheap. An example of this is that the balcony door could still be opened a bit when locked and that the bed sounded like it was going to fall apart when I leant to one side of it. The water pressure for the shower was also quite poor, and the bath tap seemed to have not been thoroughly cleaned up as small brown mineral particles came out every time it was turned on. My en suite bathroom window also led to the i ternal pipe works which, whilst not a probelfor me, may distract others. Aside from some small things though, the decor around the hotel was interesting and the views were very nice. The pools on site were pretty good, the indoor one being heated, and a full size one outside which, whilst not heated, was shaped like a fish (also given the time of year I went, it was absolutely empty in the outside pools). One thing to note about the pools: as a brit, I was surprised to find the pool water not only chlorinated but also very salty. Not a knock on them, just something to be aware of. However, the pools are only open between 9am and 6pm (at least while I was there), which doesn't allow for much time in them if you've got other plans for the day. The private beach was quite small, but it would probably be a better get in the warmer months. I saw a lot of people complaining about the breakfast online, but for the price I paid through easyjet, I thought it was quite a good deal and pretty good as far as breakfast buffets go (except the slices of edam, they made me gag). They keep a few basic bits every day and seem to switch out pastries and a couple of other bits each day. Note that the foods on offer were of low quality, but that's typical of a cheap breakfast buffet. I didn't have the lunch or dinner, so I can't speak for the quality of those. The staff that I spoke with all seemed friendly enough and were helpful. Cleaners came by each day whilst I was out to change sheets, replace toiletries, and replace any used up tea bags (note that they won't replace what you don't use). Finally, the reason I give it 3 stars. This is due to there not being anywhere on site to fill up your water bottle. When asked, the staff directed me to go buy some at the bar or buy some at the gift shop. There was a 750ml bottle left in the room upon arrival, but this was not replaced when finished. As such, I ended up filling up from the tap water, which, whilst I don't have an issue with generally, was marked as not drinkable. I had no issues and found it tasted just like the bottle of table water they'd left in my room. In my opinion, somewhere marketing itself as a 4-star hotel should, at the very least, have somewhere that guests can refill their water. There was a tap in the breakfast restaurant, but I was told by staff that I wasn't allowed to fill it up there. It also has bus and ferry links right on its doorstep, so travel is still pretty easy for those without their own transport. Overall, I'd say I had quite a good experience at Paradise Bay, albeit not what you'd expect from somewhere marked as 4-star (I did wonder if the 4-star was just thrown into the name without any basis). I'd recommend it if you're looking to explore this part of Malta or can get a good price on a stay here. Just remember to stock up on water before getting there or be prepared to drink the...

1: Paid restaurant in hotel 🤬avoid the k lounge restaurant - had to walk out, not ala carte. It is a joke. Do not go. Terrible service, terrible food. 2: Hotel 🙂This place is a solid 3 star. The pools and locations to beach etc makes it a 3, if they didn't have the pools, this would be a 2 easily. Some good and some bad. 3: Pools and private beach 🥰 If you like sun bathing at a pool or beach, and that's all you like doing. This is possible for you but....... 3.1 Food 😐 - average - the food is hit or miss, more miss to be honest. To be honest only ate here because I paid £250 to upgrade, if I didn't, I would of eaten out every day as I was hoping to do 😅 3.2 Beach Restaurants 🤩🥰Porto lounge is lovely to eat next to the beach 3.3 Location 😡 the location is in the middle of nowhere with no car, you are struggling. 3.4 Scenery 🤩Do not get confused, it is a lovely place but has 😡zero shops or restaurant local so you would need a CAR or have to eat there horrible food. 4. Room 😐Rooms dated, not a 4 star, 3 star standard, to much wood. 1 bed sheet. The balcony door is dreadful, poor quality bodge job style. 4.1 Room 😐- walls not filled ??? confused, 4 stars ??? hmmmm not 4 stars 4.2 bathroom 😐 - shower screen is damaged and old but works good 😁 4.3 bathroom - window is horrible style, like a motel shared toilet window 😐 5. 🙂WiFi - good to be honest, is mostly everywhere. Very good tbh. 6. 🙂Bar in hotel - good prices is ok, beer is €5 and cocktails at €7 😁 7. 🤩Kids club - pretty brilliant to be honest, good for kids. Dance night for kids 😁 8. 😐Staff - I didn't have an issue to be honest but I agree with some peoples reviews below stating the staff do not explain towels process, private beach access or anything regarding what to do etc. They just check you in and tell you nothing about the location or what to do or where you can go. Just want you to stay at the hotel. Very weird process!!! Not a 4 star service, probably a 2 star standard of service. 9. 🙂 TV is HD, bring a firestick or Chromecast and us there WiFi - you will be good for the kids and yourself 🙂 to be honest, hotels should have smart TVs in this day and again. I went to Hard Rock in Punta Cuna 6 years again and they had smart TV back then??? 4 star hotel should have smart TV as standard tbh.

Just remember to stock up on water before getting there or be prepared to drink the unadvised tap water.
