What a gastronomic revelation! Porto Lounge is undoubtedly a hidden treasure on the coast that must be discovered. My family had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable evening at this gorgeous restaurant and was overwhelmed by a feast for the senses.

The ambiance of this restaurant is simply stunning. The oceanfront location allows for a breathtaking view of the gentle waves and golden sunset. With my feet in the sand and the soothing sound of the surf in the background, I immediately felt like I was in paradise. The tasteful but relaxed décor enhanced the maritime flair and created a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The service at the Porto Lounge was top notch. The staff was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My questions were answered patiently and competently, and I felt really well taken care of throughout the evening.

But now for the culinary highlight - the food! We were there for breakfast and dinner. The menu offered a wide selection and refined dishes with local ingredients.

All in all, my experience at Porto Lounge was unforgettable. The picturesque location, excellent service and superb food make this restaurant a true gem. Whether for a romantic dinner for two or a festive celebration with friends and family, this oceanfront restaurant provides the perfect setting for memorable moments. Unfortunately this was the second meal that I have had here in the last week as there is nothing else around within walking distance of the hotel.

So first meal, I ordered the beer battered cod and chips, and when ordering fish you expect it to be fresh however it seemed frozen and was so watery inside and therefore didn’t go down well at all and resulted in me being ill after the meal. I did try leaving a tip by asking the waiter to round up my payment however he didn’t.

Today I’m flying back so needed a quick lunch before leaving. I first of all order a 7Up/sprite, this arrives and is lacking fizz completely. Having already ordered my main meal at this point I did notice that there was a bit of a language barrier when I was speaking English even though the waiter spoke English and as per previous interactions. I ordered a classic burger and asked the waiter if I could pay a surcharge and have cheese on top, he said yes that’s fine, asks me how I wanted my burger I say medium yet I get it medium well and without the cheese as requested.

Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone as unfortunately there food does make people ill and it is a let down in general in both the food and...

It’s a pity I have to write this review.normally I prefer to keep negative opinions to myself. But in this case, the issue goes beyond personal taste; it points to a much bigger problem.

First of all, a quick search on Google would show the proper recipe for a Greek salad and I can assure you, chickpeas are not part of it and I found almost 6 of it But the real issue came after a few bites, when I found a large piece of plastic in my plate. I showed it to the staff, yet they didn’t even bother to apologize. To make it worse, they still charged me for the dish.

Unbelievable and truly disappointing not because of the €12 itself, but because of the complete lack of professionalism and accountability. Mistakes happen in the food industry, I know that, but what defines a good restaurant is how they handle those mistakes.
