(Responding to the Hotel's response)**
I am responding to the response from the Hotel/Team Bellafer: Of course, typical response of "you're confusing the hotel" or "we have no record of your staying". Just to confirm I've stayed there, I was working directly with your concierge: David Gonzalez and Armando Lopez . I also have a receipt from the payment "clip" of our stay. Please, stop misleading people. My review should help others when they consider in lodging at your place. Rather than being defensive or deflecting the issue, where is your customer service? Pity. 6/28/25
I've stayed at many luxurious hotels around the world and never experienced the level of service received at Bellafer. The hotel promotes "luxurious" and "boutique" but you have to get through a bunch of dirt, construction, and top of the hill to get there. Your practically in the middle of nowhere and can't shop outside.
Here is the reason I am writing this review, and I don't like spending time in writing online reviews. The hotel is out of line with their "excellent customer service", I am an American and my wife is Mexican. When they see their own people, she received the "what are you doing here" treatment, rude, "rolling of the eyes" and poor attitude.
The rooms are nice, nothing close to "WOW", you have a jacuzzi outside your balcony door only to know that your neighbor can see you--might as well split the room fare or have them join in. We paid good amount of money on the first floor for a "private" jacuzzi with two rooms. There is nothing private about it. To have a private pool, you need to rent 3 floors. Ridiculous.
The restaurant is decent, adding a piano inside to give it some flare. Food is poor and exaggeratedly overpriced.
Hope this helps someone. Don't fall for their "exclusive, boutique" and overpriced, middle of nowhere, construction and dirt surrounding...
Read moreUnfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this beautiful property, we somehow missed the property is in a pre-opening phase. We made last minute arrangements and at the time, this property had the availability.
The reception desk is located in the middle of their beautiful restaurant, there is no actual check in lobby (it hasn’t been built yet, according to staff), we had to wait by the pool (our choice, we thought is was a bit awkward to be seating in the restaurant while other guests were eating) our checking was at 3, we got in our room about 3:40 pm. We were there at 2 pm.
Once we were in our room, the AC was not working, so after talking to the front desk twice, they send someone to fix the AC.
Once maintenance man left, we tried to use the restroom and the restroom door did not close, the bottom part of the door was too wide and simply did not close. I talked to the front desk, they send a maintenance guy, then three maintenance guys took off the door and had to shaved the side of the door until the door was able to closed.
At this time, it was after 5 pm, we decided to go get something to eat, while they fix the door, we came back at 8 pm or so and the front door was left wide open, apparently the last maintenance guy forgot to close to the door.
Both days we were there, the key had to be reprogrammed to open our room door.
There were several type of bugs in our room, no trash bin in the room or restroom, no hangers in the closet, no laundry bag, perhaps a list of activities, there were fireworks on Saturday evening, which we did not know about it. Fireworks were awesome!
Water from the sink and shower, had sewer like smell.
Property has potential, staff is attentive and friendly, I hope they can fix all the issues. In my opinion, they should have waited until they were...
Read moreI know this hotel is new & are still working on somethings opened like 2 months ago and their official grand opening is this upcoming Saturday I believe.
The hotel it's self is beautiful all around with really nice decor. It's away from all the noise but close enough to all the fun. We stayed for 4 days/nights during Baja Beach fest. & was also our first time in the area. We didn't get a tour so we didn't know there was a rooftop we can access until we looked around ourselves. & when we were at the pool we didn't get service until we asked for it after some time (again they are new and as we stayed there the following days these things improved in service) I think all the staff is learning as they go.
We ordered the chilaquiles rojos with eggs & arrachera, limonada preparada, micheladas, mojitos and plate of fruit that was all very good.
They have dance music by the pool & the pool & jacuzzi open late that was a plus.
I also really enjoyed one day they had a pianist playing the piano that is in the restaurant, songs like quiero volver & more.
This has a gated entrance and you have to go through 2 security points to get to the hotel which is located at the very top. I didn't get to film the way up to the hotel but hopefully they upload a video soon because this to me was really important especially as a first timer if you want to feel safe and also very private.
overall I will go back. Our driver said this is probably the best hotel yet in the area...
