The tent we stayed in was very clean and very appealing. That’s why the two stars were given. The location is deep inside the the area where all the other glamping resorts are located. It’s all dirt so you are experiencing a camping environment. However, with that said the Casa Misiones enforces very strict rules when staying there. The main one is everything inside the tent has to remain clean or you will be charged and trust me they will charge you. You are not allowed to make any noise or you will be asked to leave the premises which is odd because the entire night all you hear is dogs barking the entire night! Then you hear the loud music from a resort nearby that has a party all the way through 3am. When I arrived I asked for ice, I was informed they didn’t have any so I went to a nearby store to purchase ice and small styrofoam cooler, at check out I was charged $20 for having a cooler. Also wanted to add had we not purchased the cooler we would have had animals going inside the tent at night. As we were getting ready for bed a cat was crawling inside through an opening of the tent that’s not secured, the cooler was our savior because the whole night you can hear the scratching of animals on the cooler. I wasn’t charged for any damages inside the tent because we were just extremely cautious not to dirty anything. Stay here if you need a place where you have to be on your tip-pie toes to not dirty anything and if you plan not having music or conversation with your companions and if you plan to not sleep all night due to the uncontrolled noise in the area(trust me it’s loud and with animals trying to come inside the tent…the...
Read moreThis was our second time staying at Casa Misiones. We loved it so much the first time that we decided to come back as a big group. The place is perfect for a couples getaway or if you can plan ahead and rent out all the tents with a group of your friends that’s a lot of fun too. The cabins are immaculately clean. The beds and the pillows are so comfy. The split system for air conditioner and heating makes for a comfortable stay when the days are warm but the nights are chilly. Although the tents have a coffee maker the morning service of delivering fresh coffee and cookies is a very nice touch. We really enjoyed taking in the views from the lounge chairs with our morning cup of coffee. Enrique is the best host you could ask for. He’s welcoming, accommodating, resourceful, and very kind. He saved our group more than once by acting quickly and being able to find us a last minute shuttle service to tour the wineries and also put together a delicious breakfast for us to start our day. His staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Enrique has really thought of everything to make your stay a memorable and comfortable one, can’t recommend the...
Read moreWe showed up to a make-up, make-up reservation at Casa Misiones. We first had to cancel in February, then had our May reservation cancelled due to covid, so we finally made it in September. Hector came and met us as we parked, and took us to meet Enrique at the check in. There was a slight hiccup and our tent was double booked for the second night of our 3-night stay. Chalk it up to covid confusion and us not confirming our reservation before heading down. All of us were understanding about the situation and Enrique hooked us up at a hotel down the street for the second night so it all worked out. The tent was five stars. Super comfy bed, good AC, nice decor, stocked fridge, and coffee maker. The grounds were immaculate, all of the paths look like they are raked on an hourly basis. Lots of bunnies to see running around, bright stars to see at night, and all around spectacular views. Has the feel of a 5 star hotel, but remember that it is camping. There is dirt, and bugs, and everything else that comes with being outdoors. Just know this place makes it as comfortable as possible, and everyone that works here is very friendly...
