Hacienda Rancho Santini is located along the free road - 1.5 miles south of the giant Jesus Christ statue - 5 miles south of the Rosarito Beach toll plaza at KM40. After arriving at 10:30 pm, I entered the secure, gated entrance and the proprietor met us at the door and gave us a quick tour. The facilities are new and in great condition. Our restroom featured American-quality flush toilets, and fully stocked with fresh towels. Our room featured a modern sink and television with DVD. The french doors open, leading to a balcony overlooking the gated front entrance and outdoor lounge. ||Breakfast was a real treat. The continental breakfast was available at 7 am, the coffee was hot and just beyond the kitchen were multiple tables overlooking the coastline beyond the rear easement. The WiFi signal was strongest along the backside of the property, where an abundance of lounge furniture provided an inviting atmosphere. ||On the Saturday that my Wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast, I pulled a package of marinated, raw Chicken from my personal fridge/freezer and prepared it in the front barbecue grill area. Being such a jovial host, my Wife and I invited Kathleen to eat some lunchtime street tacos with us. Kathleen brought a bottle of wine, I supplied the tortillas and it was an instant Baja party! ||Our two nights here were too short of a stay, and I hope to return to Hacienda Rancho...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed for 2 nights at Rancho Santini. The hostess was lovely but for USD$140/night, this place was severely lacking in what we paid for. We had to share a small bathroom with no shower curtain so water went all over the floor. ||The house itself is some distance from the gate and there is no service offered whereby you are assisted or collected from the gate. With 2 suitcases and 2 carry-on luggage with us, it was a painful experience dragging these on an unpaved, rough path to the house. In fact, my partner had the unenviable job of carrying the suitcases for a great deal of the long walk as the path was too rough.||Wi-fi was quite slow and it appeared to be turned off during the night, so if you are like most people who would be making contact with family and friends (in different time zones) via social media, well too bad.||The only room in the house with ocean views belonged to the hostess. Our room had the view of a car impound. The other two rooms on offer did not fare much better in terms of views.||We would not recommend this place at all as it is a long way from amenities, shops, bars and restaurants. I cannot emphasise how disappointing it is to be charged that much for such low quality...
Read moreI made sure to write this review only to prevent other people to go through the same experience I am going through. Please do not book any rooms with Hacienda Rancho Satinini. This place is only after ones money. I booked a reservation for a weekend stay on July 19, 2018. I paid the balance in full within 24 hours in order to keep the reservation. Unfortunately I had to cancel the reservation 3 days before my arrival date because an additional family member wanted to join us and the room was only for 4 adults. Such cancellation costed me a fee of $200.00. Which I accept the hotel policy, but It has been over a week since I cancelled the reservation and I have not received a refund for the remaining balance. It appears that Hacienda Rancho Santini is refusing to issue a refund. The only option I'm being offered is to use the credit for a future stay in a period of six months. Kathleen dba Hacienda Rancho Santini does not want to release the remaining balance back to my credit card. Please avoid staying at this place as this is not the way to treat honest, working...
