I own a part time home in Rosarito and unfortunately every time we were in town these fine folks were closed. Bad timing. Today the stars aligned and I am so happy it did! First off. These two folks are just so sweet. Then comes the food. Billy starts me with a free fried chicken wing. When is the last time a restaurant gave you anything? The wing was great. A cross between OG church’s and great gas station fried chicken. Flaky, crispy, and salty in the right way. I got beef ribs, St. Louis ribs, and Billy gave me some pork belly just because that seems to be the kinda spot this is. Here are the sides I got with my meals Turkey beans Sweet potatoes Moms potato salad And I ended up with cornbread muffins too. I split ALL the food with my neighbor and our security guard. More than enough food! Overall …. Some of the best BBQ Smoked food I have had in a long time! Maybe since Memphis to be honest. *update went back for more today. (12/22/24) got the locally made Italian sausage, smoked turkey beans, jalapeño cornbread & 2 different cuts of brisket all with DJ Billie Knight homemade BBQ sauce. I can’t say enough about the brisket, smoke with oak or hickory it is smoked perfectly always moist and full of flavor. Sabor Casero Restaurant a bit late posting but I’ve got to say DeeJay Bille Knight has my favorite brisket & now Tri-tip. The meat is so tender, no knife needed. There is a big difference between his bbq and other bbq. He actually smokes the meats all day long, where others just have thrown them on a grill. the cornbread is moist, beans with smoked turkey a great flavor. My son ordered the beef, ribs and chicken, he said meat came off the bone so easily. He also has the homemade potato salad and Mac and cheese. Definitely a lot of love going into his cooking.
